I assume that you mean electronic paintball marker. The pros of an electronic paintball gun is that it probably fires faster than most other guns, and has many adjustable or customizable options such as bps or trigger sensitivity.
Some cons are that on some guns, the battery runs out fairly fast, and must be replaced often. Also, it is very easy to damage the circuit board when you are replacing the battery.
I own and eclipse ego and have owned many guns before, and the ego is by far the best electonic marker I have ever used. It may cost a lot of money, but it's worth the investment.

what is a battery gun? never heard of one.
