i.e. if it is a five match test series and one side wins 4 but draws 1 and finishes 4-0, is it still a whitewash?

i think the top 4 would have to be.....
1) New England- Theres no explanation for this they have done everything they had to and will be superbowl champs AGAIN.

2) San Francisco- They helped themselves out in all the neccesarry way and put themselves in a position to make a
stong superbowl run these next few years

3) Carolina- Even with there "Young" team they still have some quality young players that can get the job done.

4) Clevland- didnt do anything in free agancy but helped that franchise out a lot in the draft and are looking like they will finally get out of the basment in the AFC North within the next few years.

Where did the custom start?

No, I don't expect them to give names like "John Jones" or something like that, but they seem more like ship names.

The Kentucky Derby got me thinking about this.

Would this be a fair statement considering all the "ranting excuses" used by these people to try and denigrate the newly crowned World Champions?

Should have someone told him he wasn't playing Watford?
Do you think Ronaldo should be also known as property of Gattuso?

Not really a question but I am sick of Patriots fans thinking Randy Moss is the greatest off season move in history. This is a league of, "what have you done for me lately." Which is why the Raiders kicked him out of Oakland....he's not that good!

People have asked about a hypothetical game between the Patriots and Steelers dynasty. I am not so sure the Steelers could even beat the worst team in the NFL today. With no off season conditioning back then and offensive and defensive lineman weighing about 50 pounds of solid muscle heavier today. How could the Steelers run a single yard, protect the quarterback, prevent holes from being opened and pressure the QB of a team from today?

I was thumbing through an NFL roster book from the mid 70's and one of the starting linemen from some mediocre team (maybe the Browns) was 230 Pounds!!!!! That's what most adult female fans weigh today!!!

I am a die hard Mets fan. Have been a Mets fan for probably 25 years now. I do not want Roger Clemens on my team. I have no more respect for him. He sits back on his big ranch chilling waiting around to see which team is going to be in contention late in the season and this is the team he will decide to join. How can anyone respect him for that?
I know that he is Roger Clemens and he has earned certain rights but what gives. I want someone on my team that is going to be their from Training Camp until October. Why should you allow some plug in guy join your team during your big run to get a world series ring when he really hasn't earned it?
Does anyone agree with me??
