The old rules is fine by me, but there are some who want the college system put in place where both teams get a chance " to be fair " ( wahh wahhh wahhhh )
They accurately point out that about 80% of the time the team who wins the coin toss wins the game.
Football is about change. Whether its moving the goal posts to the back of the end zone, or implementing the 2 point conversion ( Thank you USFL )

I got a great idea courtesy of the XFL. They decided who got the option to kick or receive by placing the ball on the 50 yard line. Each team would select one player. They then would line up at the 20.Then they would race for the football, treating it as a live fumble. Whoever got possession gave his team the choice to kick or receive. Well, I think it's a cool twist anyways.

so vote on the 2 options the NFL is debating and consider the 3rd option I put in.
1. Keep things as is.
2. Go to the college OT system
3. Use the XFL rule instead of coin flip to decide who kicks/receives

Troy Smith the Heisman Trophy winner didn't get drafted until late in the 4th or 5th round, and National Championship MVP Chris Leak of UF didn't even get drafted at all. Does anybodyelse find this odd?

I have answered a few questions on the ICC World Cup, but I cannot understand why there are so many moaners and groaners blaming everything from match fixing, players accepting bribes, umpiring decisions etc. Anyone would be very disappointed with their team missing out on winning the Cup, I know I would be, but the only people I would query would be the cricketers themselves. ALL teams played well. The Netherlands, Bangladesh etc. The only reason teams lost was their lack of sustained cricket ability over the carnival. I congratulate all teams who participated.

Adam Gilchrist did this on the Australian coach's instructions. Is it legal by the ICC laws?

Why not allow the four semi-finalists direct entry into next world cup with an entry of Eight teams.
And have a separate qualifying tournament to decide the remaining four teams. This can be conducted in the same or another country well in advance.at least three months earlier.
The minnows too will have exposure to at least four test playing nations.
What are the pros and cons?

sorry if this is a stupid question, since i know nothing about racing but i am curious. roughly speaking, which car would be fastest on an oval track? on a straight track? on an f1 track? on a windy mountain road? assume that all drivers are using perfect technique and there are no restrictions on regular parts for those vehicles (no rocket engines or jet packs), there is infinite fuel supply, and no tire wear. how much does the style of driving matter vs. the design and power of the car itself? or would they all be roughly the same?

The East is shaping up to have two pretty good semi-final match ups. We know that it will be Detroit vs. Chicago in one semi, and it looks like Cleveland vs. New Jersey in the other, When it's all said and done, who will represent the East in the NBA Finals?

Who would win a fight to the death?

A 5-9 185 lb man in reasonably good shape or a 115 lb male mountain lion. There is no element of surprise and no weapons. This is actually an important question, so cites are very welcome.

Notre Dame tied for 3rd most players taken from any school in the country. I don't understand why, especially their defensive players were taken so soon, or at all for that matter. They have a weak schedule for the most part and got pummeled by the better teams they played. Brady Quinn is awesome, but after that....questionable.

Seven runs to win, two batsmen at the crease, both at 94 runs each. Two balls are remaining. The team won & both batsmen made centuries. How could it be possible?

He says that now that he is a Patriot, that fans have only seen a glimpse of what he's capable of. Do you think he'll go off in the NE offense? Maybe he'll get 2000 yards this year, or more!! He did a private workout for both Green Bay AND New England, as part of pre-draft trade talk, and he ran a 4.29 40 yard dash! That is Deion Sanders speed, folks! Randy is 30, but he can still run like a cheetah!!!
