I would have to say intensity! Everyone noticed how all through the year Miami did not play energized ball. I think they were to comfortable because of winning the championship the way they did the previous year, that is being where no one expected them. So they just thought they could do the same, by rallying at the last minutes. This ahs been the way they played and won last year, so may be they thought they could do the same this year. But there's a factor they forgot and that any coach will teach you, you only become what you practice, and this year playing without focus and intensity, they just thought they could kind of switch on the "Intensity Play" in playoffs time, but it did not worked because the roster is old (Shaq is!!!) and they were outrun. Plus you have to give credit to the Bulls, while Miami was sipping its championship champagne all year long they mature, plus they young and full of energy. In that match up, intensity and speed killed Miami. Of course there is the factor DWade not being at 100%, though I do not neglect it, I think it's just a small indicator of the whole sickness of the team. When you look at guys like Eddie Jones who sustained the team while DWade was out, he was a non-fact during these series...So lack of intensity!!!
Personally I think what happened is good in the sense that it would push them to get back on track and play full throttle BBall next year after being embarrassed this year.

Injuries and matchup problems.
Injuries hurt the chemistry of the team. Shaq was out in the early part of the season and Wade was out in the latter half of the season. Throw in the fact that these 2 are crucial pieces and the stars of the team makes the loss even greater. Same thing with Amare last year with the Suns.....once you go on the injured list, you can't just come back and feel at home.
Also, as you can see from the Mavs/Warriors series...it really doesn't matter how good a team you are. If you can't matchup, you will have problems. The Heat just couldn't keep up with a quicker and smaller Bulls team. The Bulls figured it out and took advantage of it and here they are in the 2nd round of the playoffs.

I guess if you look at the stats, you find that many of these guys are above 30, though shaq and wade are still capable of anything(shaq was injured early season and wade too briefly),it does become a problem when you have a group of old guys.
You just feel that the championship last year was the peak point where they had reached ascending and now starts the descend.
They need raw new talent and start all over again.

You used 5 factors to ask this question? perfect now, the nice and cozy temperature are13 video games out of the perfect playoff spot contained in the East with about 30 video games to play. positioned it this kind: If the hot Jersey Nets and the Atlanta Hawks bypass 8-19, and 10-22 respectively, Miami might want to ought to close out the regular season on a 22-9 run to tie. and clearly, it really is assuming no man or woman else previous to them, i.e. Chicago or Milwaukee do not get warm. No!

team got really old..payton,walker,mourning should have retired after last season..as usual an old school coach relys too much on veterans and does not develop young talent..the injurys and the inability to get help because of salary cap restrictions did not help..this is an old team that has little upside..6 players with+8 years in the league..none of the young players played over 67 games because of injuries..you have 4 keepers on the roster wade/kapono/haslem/wright and possibly a 5th simien[only played 8 games] and who knows how long wade can keep up the crshes to the floor without shortening his career..you see little light on the horizon for this team...and with the lack of REAL head coaching prospects around the league, what can they do to change the course...

i live in MIA big fan and the thing is WADE is hurt he might be saying he's fine but you can tell he's not. hes young but the rest of the team isn't. they were doing okay at the beggining but right after WADE'S injury it all came down. if you followed the games after the injury the team couldn't perform that well without him. i hope WADE recovers 100% and get some new young team members for next season and we will win again.

Dwyane Wade wasn't like superman. He was very down to earth and the supporting cast (Shaq, Jay Williams, and Udonis Haslem) couldn't pick up the slack.
