Only three years old horses can run the Kentucky Derby As it is run only once a year, no horse has a chance to run more than once.

no... because you can't enter the Kentucky Derby more than once. The Kentucky Derby (as well as the 2 other triple crown races) are for 3 year olds only. Horses don't get to be 3 years old more than once, so they don't get to race the Kentucky Derby more than once. There's a new field of horses every year.

No, the Derby is a race for 3 year olds, and older horses are prohibited from competing. There are races for older horses which allow horses to compete and win more than once- many of the handicap stakes are like that.
