I have not really trained much in the last 4 years, but have PB's of 33:35 for 10k Road, and 15:21 for 5k Road, both of which I achieved when I was 17, and only doing 10-15 miles a week of serious training.

I have resolved to start training again, and have set the goals of running 10k in 30 minutes or less and 5k in 14 minutes or less by next January. Could any of you give me any advice on how to build mileage and train to do this?

Do you cheer for any of the teams that are in the same conference as your own team? Or do you cheer against them?

For example, our team is Ohio State. If you were a Michigan State supporter, would you be cheering for Ohio State because both teams are members of the Big Ten conference? Or, would you be cheering against them?

It is making no sense at all why the minnows will win the toss and field first...in 9/10 cases it has results in massive scores by the teams sent in first. To me this is smelling a lot like ICC saying ....lets give the TV crowds plenty of overs to watch on TV. Else the tv coverage would be over in most cases within 40 -60 overs!!
