With Mauer, Redmond, Morneau, Castillo, Bartlett, Punto, Hunter, White, Cuddyer, Cirillo, and Ford pretty much inked in there, who'll be the rest of the offense? I figure 3 more guys will make it from a group of Kubel, Tyner, L. Rod, Rabe, LeCroy, Harvey, Casilla...

It was interesting to see fat Matt back after his disaster in Washington. He was a good DH a few years ago, does he have a chance at this point to be our DH next year?

I would guess Silva, Garza, Bonser, and Ortiz. There are also Ponson, Baker, Perkins, or maybe even Guerrier or even Durbin. Lmk what you think, throw more names in the mix if you can think of any!

I've been invited to the Emirates Stadium this afternoon with a client (an Arsenal fan). I'm not a follower of football and have never been to a match before but this is part of a "thankyou" for the company I work for so I have to go. I understand that we're going to be hosted in a corporate box.

Only problem is - what do I wear? Jeans and a smart shirt? Trousers and a smart shirt? A suit? Jeans and t-shirt? Trainers? Work shoes?

From the football fans out there - what do you suggest?

I kind of think it may end up hurting him because than the pressure for a grand slam will immensify and may be one of the only thing that will stop the guy from getting 20+ grand slams?!!

Second ODI Final, 5 minutes ago Aussies were 4 FOR 51 !!! In a rain interupted, innings reduced match now chasing 221.

Are the Gods so unkind ? OR was our preparation inadequate given the woefull performances by the touring English ? Have we been too cocky ? Is this just the wake up call we need before the World Cup ? and really a blessing in disguise before hand. Am I selling the boys too short, can they still make it from here ? fingers crossed !

I was glancing through my boxing library and decided to watch these two epic encounters. As I watched, a couple of questions came to mind and I would like to get your opinions. The following are the judges scorecards for the first Holyfield-Tyson bout;
Dalby Shirley (96-92), Frederico Vollmer (100-93), Jerry Roth (96-92) all for Holyfield. Vollmer's scoring of 100-93 for Holyfield obviously meant he gave Evander every round, which in itself is questionable. But, since he did, he would've had to give Mike 9pts for 8 rounds at the most, and 8pts for the two rounds that Mike was dropped (6th) and saved by the bell from going down (9th). Which gives me 100-88 for Holyfield (Mike 8rds x 9 + 2rds x 8 = 88). Maybe my math is shotty could someone clarify for me I'd appreciate it.

Rematch Question: During the chaos that Mike's outrageous "bite" created, Mills Lane on more than one occassion goes to the ringside apron and says "He (mike) is disqualified for biting Holyfield." Before a minute could go bye suddenly, Mills Lane changes from the original DQ to a 2pt deduction to Tyson. Anyone have an idea why he didn't stick with the DQ? If ever there was an act that deserved or warranted a DQ that "bite" was it in my opinion.

Second, because of Mills Lane's decision not to DQ Tyson, how would you have reacted/fealt if Mike suddenly came back and KO'd Evander to win the fight? I know I would have been one "p"d off boxing fan. Thanks
