I kind of think it may end up hurting him because than the pressure for a grand slam will immensify and may be one of the only thing that will stop the guy from getting 20+ grand slams?!!

It will be a big effect. Because he would win the career grand slam. He would eliminate any doubts and become a great tennis player.

I think once he wins it, a huge weight will be lifted off his shoulders, it should not be any more speculation about who is best of all time once he wins the french( and im sure that he will) i don't think federer is worried about pressure. He is playing tennis for him and his fan. He does everything right and there is no reason for him not to break sampras's record. His only worry is injury

The same way I feel about all of his matches. He has no competition. He's the true definition of a paper champion.

What thrill can he possibly get out beating a bunch of junior circuit players. He's better off playing against the women.

winning him will definitely cement his position as the best tennis player in the modern era. it is so far the only grand slam that eluded him.

it will boost up his confidence even more, and most probably complete a grand slam this year (barring any injury). hopefully, he would stay grounded and try to break more records in the process.

I think he has a solid shot at the French this year.

His overall date with destiny is set and I think he's comfortable with it and thrives on it. However, as far as the French title goes, this year, next year or never.
