Thinking of taking a martial arts. These three are what i've narrowed it down to. I'm looking for self-defense. I'm 5-7" and grew up a baseball athlete. I'm looking something that teaches discipline and patience along with the physical aspect. Grew up being picked on by bigger people. I want to be able to defend myself and my wife if need be. Any suggestions and comments are welcome. Serious answers only please.

I am asking because they have made a bid for one midfielder by the name of Owen Hagreaves worth about 25 million pounds and another bid for a Striker named Fernando Torres worth 25 million pounds.Although rejected it shows they have the money.Finally they made a last bid for a winger named Gareth Bale worth 10million pounds.That is above the 50 million pounds the press claim Fergie is given.And i saw all the bids so i know what i am talking about so i don't understand

For the ones who are old enough to remember-- when WCW first started making the picture everyone laughed cause they came into the yard of the tycoon, WWE. After several years of building up rosters and taking several wwe guys, the ratings 4 WCW started to grow. They eventually snowballed and Nitro began destroying the ratings of WWE. I love the WWE and sometimes watch TNA, but sooner or later TNA will get bigger rosters with better talent and a larger fan base. This will make both companies better and provide better shows because of competition.
