Eddy Curry has had a great season and felt snubbed for being left off the All-Star team, but who should he have beaten out?-(This was Steve Kerr's question in his Yahoo! Sports column) (In my humble opinion, Kerr's the best b-ball analyst in the game, and I'm a Pistons fan) Please prove your point one way or another.

Eddy Curry is having a pretty good year when it comes to putting up points, but thats about where it stops. This guy is 6'11 and 285 lbs, and he can only grab 7 rebounds a night? He doesn't average a single block, steal, or assist. Those numbers are proof of what many people see when they watch him play, a selfish player that doesn't hustle. Not only that, he averages 3.4 turnovers a game and he hardly touches the ball outside of the post ball! This guy is a joke.

To all of you guys that said Eddy is a "joke", I dont really consider a player a joke that has to be double, sometimes triple teamed just so he doesnt score. The dude is 4th in the league in Field Goal %. He averages 20 and 7 and is the leading scorer for all centers in the Eastern Conference. Yes, that deserves all star.
No player is perfect. Just because he doesnt average 25 points, 10 rebounds, 3 blocks, 85% from the line, and 1 TO per game doesnt warrant him to be left off the reserves. You look at any player on the reserves, theres at least 2 categories they need improvement in. Granted, there are other people who deserved it more than Eddy did for the RESERVES, but he was and should have been a definite candidate. Eddy needs improvement, yes, so do alot of players, but hes not in any way at all a "joke". Thats just a ridiculous statement.

Well, Shaq definitely shouldn't have been an all-star and Joe Johnson should have beaten out Eddie Curry if that spot was open. Curry is a good scorer on a bad team and he doesn't block shots or shoot free throws well, even his rebounding is only average if not below average. I would say his teammate David Lee is just as good of a player.

I agree that Kerr is fantastic, but to answer the primary question: HELL NO! Curry is decent, but he's decent on a team of turds.

Curry is not an all-star, and certainly shouldn't be.

Of course fans are idiots though (as accurate pointed out by Charles) because Shaq, Yao, and Tmac have been hurt too much this season to have been given a starter's role on tradition alone. They need to rethink the way the All-Star game is selected.

Well first of all, he is on a losing team... The knicks... it is very hard to make the All Star team like that. Also, Eddy Curry is still a little bit away from being at an All Star level. I am very pleased that Rip and Chauncey made the All Star team, and I am calling it right now that Tayshaun Prince will be on the East All Star team next year. Go Pistons!!!!

If anyone on the team should have been an all-star it's David Lee. 11ppg, 11rpg, 50% shooting... damn... and if he had been starting most of the year it would be at least 14ppg and 14rpg. He also makes the Knicks much better when he is on the court.
But I agree though that Eddy Curry is better than Shaq. All the fans who voted for Shaq on the all-star team just voted by name recognition alone.

As a Knicks fan, I thoroughly trust Marbury and Crawford, by using fact what they are asserting is real. Eddy Curry might desire to have been an all-famous individual by using fact he has been enjoying large. it is against the regulation that he replaced into left off. So what if his rebounding isn't stable sufficient for some people? The Knicks are nevertheless between the suited rebouding communities interior the NBA (the two offensively and defensively). The Knicks nevertheless have extra rebounds (40 4.4) according to interest than the Magic, Celtics, Bulls, and Bobcats, and 76ers (all communities that supposedly have a miles better midsection than Curry) we already have David Lee who's a large rebounder, so Eddy is physically powerful the place he ought to be, and his factors will in basic terms proceed to strengthen (he additionally scores bigger than different jap centers). I too replaced into very disenchanted when I heard he hadn't made the all-famous individual team. regrettably, the folk who vote who call themselves NBA followers be attentive to no longer something with regard to the NBA by using fact they only hear to hype, so as that they voted for Shaq who's in basic terms performed in 8 video games this season. Plus, final time I checked, the Miami warmth weren't doing so large this season the two. yet somewhat, people in basic terms factor palms on the Knicks and use them as an occasion of what makes a foul team. What a shame. The Knicks will upward push lower back, and that they are large by using fact they continually they stick up for another too, this is real character. The Knicks spectacular now have a team comprehensive of proficient and promising youthful gamers, and quickly they are going to be a tension lower back. people are speaking crap with regard to the Knicks now, yet they are going to quickly might desire to eat their words by using fact the Knicks are gonna upward push lower back. I nevertheless have self belief! i do no longer care what the Knicks-haters say, by using fact i like my Knicks. they have been dealing with some darkish days, yet i be attentive to the solar will shine lower back, and this too shall bypass. they are gonna be large lower back, purely you wait.
