I think he will. Despite the objection of the (likely Giant Fan) who contends that "nothing has been proven".
When the story leaked about Bonds' involvement in steriods and he pursued an injunction about stopping the publication, it wasn't on the basis of libel (the act of printing something that is false) but on the basis that it was not obtained legally (as it was in the grand jury's hand).
So, through his lawyer, Bonds was effectively saying yes, he did do steriods, but you shouldn't be allowed to print it because of a grand jury issue.
That alone is as telling as McGwires "I am not here to talk about the past"
That said, he had a great career that was hall worthy up to that point where he started taking steriods.
Now, since his career high was 49 home runs before 2001 (and was his 2nd highest season total), I would like to go out on a limb and suggest that he may have been the recipiant of possibly 50- 75 home runs extra through his extra juice training.
This total would represent the 30 or so more homers he got in 2001 and probably about 10 for the next 3 season.
That would put legit home runs from 650-675.
IMO, if you hit 600 home runs, steal 500 bases, drive in 1800, walk 2000+ times (some of those may, indirectly, be the result of steroids though), you deserve in the hall of fame.
The sad part is that Bonds shows no respect for baseball. He is but a part of it and baseball is not defined by him.
If he doesn't get in, it's not solely because of steriods, but the combination of steriods and personality.
I would love to know how many people (parents specifically) would want their children to emulate Bonds. To put all sense of fairness and honour aside for individual goals. (Ok, maybe Yankee Fans who don't think Georgie boy is doing anything wrong).
But other than that? If you could honestly tell your children that Bonds would be great to be like because "he really just wants to be the best and win", then I feel really sorry for your children, and their children, and their children, and so on.

Absolutely, positively not!!! He's an embarrassment to the game and would detract from everything the Hall stands for. If Shoeless Joe is still banned, Barroid Bonds should NEVER get in.
Slowmoser: Even if he breaks the record, that doesn't guarantee admission to the Hall. The all-time hits king isn't there either, remember?

He will be and should be. He's a great player regardless of steroids. And who's to say that Pujols, Berkman, and Beltran aren't taking them. Anabolic steroids have been around since the 50s so there might be player already in the hall of fame who have taken them.

Out! in my view they ought to positioned an asterisk next to his call interior the record books. His record is tainted through steroids. Why could the former greats like Babe Ruth ought to have a cheater like Bonds next to him.

i actually did a project on this for school...ill sum it up. he should because steroids were not illegal when he supposedly took them. also the newer stadiums have smaller outfield walls that are closer to homeplate. he sort of saved the game because ppl came to the stadiums to watch ppl hit homers but after the 1994 strike, not a ton of ppl came but once bonds started to hit homers, more ppl came. i dont like bonds but he should still be put in the hall. theres been other hall members that have admitted to doing amphetamines and other illegal substances. so y not bonds

He should not be inducted until he comes clean about his steroid use. If he is clean then he should take the drug test to clear his name. He keeps denying that he used, but refuses to take the test. What does he have to lose if he is clean? Look at pictures of him when he started in baseball compared to what he looks like now. There is no way you can get that big naturally. Look at Griffey. Now that is power and he is not as big as Bonds. He also has the best swing in baseball.

Of course he should.Nobody can sit there and say that he does not deserve to be in the HOF.I mean come on hes goin to break the home run record.Anyone who can do that deserves it.And its not all about the power in the swing. You got to be able to make contact with the ball and he does. And plus they havent proved anything yet that he did take anything

Barry Bond's is a bum and if he makes it into the Hall of Fame its to thier shame. He's a classless, lying, steroid abusing, weasily little fruitcake who sounds like a woman and wears dangily earings like one too.
