Can any Americans out there who UNDERSTAND Rugby Union, Rugby League or Australian Rules tell me what they think and how it compares to Gridiron? I find gridiron very slow, and don't understand why they have so much padding (i understand the need in ice hockey, cricket etc.). I know it is an elite sport and they are very fit/strong etc. but I am just asking for an American (who knows the other games) opinions. I have found that most people in Australia that understand gridiron prefer another code.

The same question with cricket and baseball too, I personally prefer cricket, and most people i know who have played baseball as well prefer cricket. What do Americans who have played cricket before think?

I am after educated answers here please as I am hopeing to see what you see so great about your sports. And if you don't know the other spots don't answer, as I, once playing Aussie Rules, had to stand underneath a high kicked ball ready to mark(catch) it. It was very high so I

If you could go back in time to the past 41 Super Bowls, which Super Bowl would you like to attend and why would you want to attend it?

The Super Bowl I would be interested in attending would be Super Bowl XL because Ford Field is a wonderful football facility and it would be interesting to see a championship football game played in Detroit.

I'm a Leaf's fan, but here's why I think Crosby is better:

Crosby has 14 more points even though he's played 5 games less and even though Ovechkin has 140 more shots than Cosby! Ove is such a hog! He's worried more about his stats than his team.

Crosby is +11 and Ove is a friggin -14!

Crosby has 4 less penalty minutes.

Crosby has a better shot percentage.

Crosby is an awesome playmaker whereas Ove doesn't setup plays like Sid the Kid.

Crosby's team has 10 more points than Ovechkin's team.

Crosby's team has beaten Ovechkin's team more.

Sid has more sick goals!

The only reason why Ove has more goals is because he takes so many shots. Hell....even I could score that many if I took those many shots! Ove has the most shots in the NHL!

It would be interesting to find out who has more minutes of ice time this year.

Sid is Canadian, Alex is Russian :) nuff said!

Sid is going to the playoffs, Alex is not!

Sid the Kid hands down baby!

Why do people automatically assume that Muhammad Ali was past his peak after he was stripped of his title by the government at age 25? It doesn't seem fair to Ali to pass such a judgment. Ali was still only 28 when he came back and fought Jerry Quarry in 1970. 28/29 is peak years for any athlete. Maybe Ali wasn't quite as fast, but he was still rusty since he hadn't boxed in 3 1/2 years due to his forced layoff.

I dunno, it doesn't seem fair to say Ali's prime ended when he was only 25 years of age. I say he still was at his peak for a few years afterwards (1970-1971, maybe up until the Foreman bout) Maybe he wasn't quite as fast, but he was also bigger and stronger and had more muscle to carry. His defence was alot better as well.

Its ridiculous, isnt 3 rings more than 1? Brady is still the better quarterback who does MORE with LESS. I wish BRADY had two hall of fame receievers to throw too, a hall of fame center blocking for him, and a pro bowl caliber tight end to run the middle routes.

Upsetting that Peyton, after one mediocre superbowl in which Rex lost it more than he won it, is considered the "best" qb in todays game. Not in my mind...
