I have been waiting and rooting for this Colts Superbowl win since the Colts first came to my hometown of Indy. Personally, I think that the Colt's Bob Sanders should have won MVP. But both teams played well, and Indianapolis is taking the win with the style and grace of Coach Dingy, Peyton Manning, Bob Sanders, and the rest of the team, as well as the city and its citizens. Soooo happy we won!

I must say it was not the best ever, after XXXVI where the underdog patriots won by 3 on the games last play, and the u2 post 9/11 halftime show, a rout like this where it was only close because of colts turnovers and miscues, and prince playing crappy cover songs just doesn't stand up. it is special whenever your team wins though, so for you if not historically it can be the best ever. and yes the MVP should have been one or both RBs which thrills me as an addai owner in a keeper league

The two greatest superbowls were played in the seventies were The finese Dallas Cowboys meet the rough luster of The Pittsburgh Steelers. For the Cowboys you had Roger Staubach as quarterback (the prototype for Steve Young)
Full back Robert Newhouse
Tight end Billy Joe Dupree
Wide Receiver Preston Pearson
The defense comprised of
Safety Cliff Harris
Line-backer Thomas "Hollywood" Henderson
Defensive ends Ed "To Tall" Jones
and Randy White
For the Steelers you had
Quarterback Terry Bradshaw
Running Back Franco Harris
Fullback Rocky Blier
Wide receiever John Stallworth
Wide receiver Lynn Swann
I don't remember if he was a safety or free
safety Mel Blount
as well as a defense that had the menacing likes
of Jack Ham, Jack Lambert, "Mean Joe" Green,
LC Greenwood.
These Superbowls were epic in brutality, will, pain,
and desire. Though the Pittsburgh Steelers won
both meetings, The Dallas Cowboys of that era can share in the glory in how America's game should be played.

Best Superbowls Rams and Titans (1999) Rams and Patriots (2001) Giants and Bills ( unknown) This game was marred by way to many mistakes and sloppy play. It also was not really competitive but great for a colts fan. Rhodes and Addai ran great but you know if it was close they were going to give it to Peyton.

As football games go, this was pretty good. Unfortunately the answer to your question is subjective and open to plenty of argument. Enjoy the win 110%. They are hard to come by and as a Packer fan, they don't necessarily happen even when you have a good team. I thought the Colts O-Line should have been the MVP. They really stuffed the ball down the Bears throats. No one did that all year.

The best Super Bowl was the 2002 upset of the Rams by the Patriots on a last second field goal by now-Colt Adam Viniateri.

um no.... technically I'm glad the Colts won but the game in all kinda sucked. It was boring throughout. The Colts dominated in Offense compared to the Bears. Rex Grossman totally sucked. The game was only exciting in the beginning, the 92-yd TD return by the Bears then all those fumbles.

Not even close...it was a TERRIBLE game marred by mistakes and an error-prone quarterback in Grossman. And yes, Rhodes def deserved the MVP over Manning, but thats politics. Whatev...

No, Super Bowl XXV, where the Giants beat the Bills was because it came down to a last second field goal attempt and was the closest Super Bowl ever (20-19 Giants).
I'm a Bills fan, too, so it pains me to admit that.
