i say you work out a bit so you can gain some muscle mass and weight that you desperatley need.

i think you could make the team if you just get over those nerves on the first day of tryouts.

hey wats up, just cause ur asian dosent mean u cant play ball, im asian too, im a 6'6" power forward for my school. 50% free throw for a guard is kinda low especially if u can shoot 40% from the 3 point line, i averaged 87% last season, having a 30 inch vertical would come in handy, but it would be more useful if u played in the paint. stamina is really important, if the coach see's that u cant tough it out in tryouts, dont even bother going (unless u know u can wow him in other categories) but stamina can be increased with alot of running. where some braces if ur nerves really bother u that badly, and watch some college ball on tv and especially focus on the position u want to play. if u can, also watch the houston rockets or the detroit pistons play D, practice hard brisk passes and make sure u can do layups really well. shooting the ball takes time. when i started a few years ago i averaged 12.4 pts, 7.4rbds, and 2.4 turnovers a game, this year i average 24.2pts, 11.2rbds, and 1.4 turnovers a game, of course this happened in a 2 year span, it all takes time and dedication, hope this helps and good luck

you are a skinny kid for sure you have got to work on your passing it gots to be good to great sense you dont have a big body and size to play anything but the 1 or 2 spot you got to get your free throw % way up at least a 80% at least keep hitting the threes 40%+ is a good average from there show the coach you got the shot but you got to show him that you can pass sense you wont probably be the star of the team or leading scorer sense you aint been playin well best of luck man hope you make it and if you dont practice your butt off and try again next year and you will i know thats what it takes good luck man

Well, it seems like you realize what you're good at and what you're not so good at.... but there's always room to improve on everything. Don't be nervous-don't think about it too much. Yeah, it can be intimidating to be playing with and/or against people who have been playing much longer than you, but you can't let that get to you. If I were you, I'd start running. Run, run, run, run, run. Having stamina during a game will save you.

Good luck, but the internet is not going to help you much. Without seeing you play, nobody can really give you pointers. Work hard, never give up.

Ask your friends to tryout with you. It takes a lot of stress of of you. When your coaches see all the talent you have, they will take you and make it better. But if your friends are with you, it's a million times easier (trust me, I know). Try to learn more from your mistakes and improve on them. And by the way, if you came to my school with a 6:30 mile, you would be considered a running hero. Good luck :).

between the precise boys extreme college communities interior the rustic could very probable win--any precise group has adult adult males who might desire to probable play interior the NBA if not for the modern-day rule exchange, and a few adult adult males who're going to stroll into commencing roles on D-a million colleges. yet a "respectable" boys extreme college group, based upon the state, might desire to have a infant or 2 who're going to play D3 someplace, and consistent with probability not even that. The WNBA communities have in basic terms the precise modern-day women individuals college gamers and could smoke a maximum "respectable" boys communities. they could probable actually have a top benefit interior the front courtroom. not a stupid question in any respect, for my section. it is this variety of trivial hypothesis that makes following activities exciting.

i think u should try out. if all of these things r true then u would b a great player for the team(not the towel boy or something). if u dont make it, then the coach is crazy.
