LOL. Yes. It is also cool to get her slinky lingerie or a power drill. Ok, all joking aside, it really depends on the person, doesn't it? V-Day isn't supposed to be about wanton commericialism run amok or making trite and cliche purchases based on stereotypes. It is supposed to be about paying attention to the desires of *your* individiual significant other. If your girl's favorite hobby is working on cars, then maybe a new tool would make your girl way happier than buying lingerie. If the woman in question loves to sew, maybe some knitting needles and a nice dinner would work wonders. It is all about romance, love, and vibes. NOT about purchases or the amount of money spent. A fryer is NOT ok if the purchase is done out of a sense of obligation or with a lazy attitude. Gifts also shouldn't be more towards yourself and not the other person. In short, there are a lot of factors in play here. Your situation needs some more explanation. Valentines Day is not (nor should it be) a one size fits all holiday. It isn't even remotely meaningful (no matter how much you spend or what you do) if the warm sentiments and loving displays of affection are exclusively the province of an arbitrarily chosen day in February.

good luck!

It just depends. Does she love to cook & needs one? then YES. It showing her that you are aware of her likes/needs. Is she health concious? Then NO. People who are health concious dont eat fried foods very often, if at all. Has she been HINTING at/for anything in particualr? Always listen when we give out hints or piontedly tell you we like something. We do that for a purpose. But most men are too oblivious to see that. lol.

I wouldn't think so unless she desperately wants one. I don't think appliances say "I love you" as much as jewelry, perfume or something along those lines.
