I remember Tiger Woods started a downward slide right after he was married and Pete Sampress (sp?) went down when he married that actress. Andre Aggasi (sp?) also tanked when he married Brooke Shields? Has there ever been a study on what wives do to their sports husbands?

I know it has something to do with Steve Austin but I don't know what. Please don't call me stupid because I didn't watch wrestling during the Stone Cold years. Where did it derive from or does he just simply like math ratios? Best answer gets 10 points.

I hear a lot of people jumping on the Ohio State and Notre Dame national championship bandwagons. Although I believe that both of those teams could end up in a BCS game, I don't think that either of them will end up as the national champion. (A combination of a loss of starters and of difficult schedules will see to that.) The team that I believe will win the 2006 college football national championship will be West Virginia. They have 49 lettermen returning on a team that went 11-1 last year and beat Georgia in the Sugar Bowl. Among those returning will be the starting quarterback Pat White, wide receiver Brandon Barrett, and the MVP of last year's Sugar Bowl, tailback Steve Slaton. Their two toughest games will be at Louisville and at Pittsburgh, so their schedule is pretty favorable.
So what do you think? How likely is it that West Virginia will be 2006 Division I college football champion?

I don't totally understand waivers. I know the basic part, that your team has 15 days to trade you before becoming a free agent. But you can get pulled off? And then I was reading about Adam Stern not getting traded to Baltimore because the Devil Rays claimed him because they are the worse team? Then the Red Sox pulled Stern off waivers. If the Rays claimed him, how can he be pulled off?

Is Craig Biggio not headed to Cooperstown? The guy is amazing. And what of Jeff Bagwell, despite his career ending stint, does the fact that he had 5 back to back 30 homer/ 100 RBI seasons isnsure his seat among the greats?

I know at one point Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s 2003 Dover accident was being compared to Kyle Petty's Bristol accident and Jerry Nadeau's Richmond accident! How have the others compared since then? I know Jeff Gordon and Kasey Kahne have had some hard hits, but I don't know if they come close...it's hard to tell on tv! I'm sure I didn't name some...so feel free to add any...even though I am more curious as to recorded incidents!

Anyone heard or read anything lately about recordings pulled from the black box, recently?
