OK to the one who mentioned Mario, he is retired. He retired last season when he started having a heart problem, although some are proably a little confused because I don't think there was any big announcement it was just known and accepted he couldn't play again. I agree with Glenn Weasly, don't know why he hasn't just retiered yet. Eric Lindros needs to retire, he will never reach what was expected of him no matter how long he plays. Hasek should have stayed retired. I could even see Belfour staying in the game as long as he isn't trying to be a starter or play much.

Jeremy Roenick, age 36. Has done very little the past 2 seasons. Has 484 career goals, the only reason he is hanging on is he hopes to get to 500.
Keith Primeau, age 34. Played only 9 games last year after experiencing a very serious concussion. In 2003-04, he scored only 7 goals. He's got nothing left.
Glen Wesley, two months away from being age 38. Just won the Cup with Carolina - a great time to retire. He should walk away before time and age force him out. Has been a solid defenseman, has played 18 years in league.
Chris Chelios, age 44 (yes 44!). Give it up, already, your 44 years old! Can only play like 12 minutes a game because of his age. Detroit has done nothing in the playoffs for several years now because they are too old. Follow Yzerman. Quit dying your hair and retire!

my picks are: eric lindros- too many concussions. if he gets another one he could be in trouble. ed belfour and dominik hasek- both goalies are in their 40s are always injured. hasek is not healthy enough to weather a long season and the playoffs. i can't understand why detroit blew money on him. chelios-he is the oldest hockey player in the nhl at 44. he was a great player but he is way past his prime. he is too slow. joe sakic- his experience with leading the avs is great but he is getting up there in years. keith primeau- washed up has been. any player over 35 has already reached their prime and gets slower their point total goes down. was happy to see two great players retire: steve yzerman and mark messier. both retired after knowing they could not contribute anymore.

I don't know but i think the NY Islander should just go away forever let there players become free agents and leave the NHL they have to many good players to suck so badly like that

Eric Lindros. Too many concussions and don't want to see him get hurt. There are things more important than hockey sometimes.
