After looking at some questions posted about clone vs real thing, I think what many are asking is: Given the high cost of a new set of nice Callaway (or whomever) clubs, am I, as a mid to high handicap player, or occasional player, better served by saving the money and using clones? When my game improves to the point of being a low to mid handicapper, or I am able to play at least weekly I would think getting the real thing would be a different story. Some guys are playing with pretty old clubs, even a clone brings them closer to the modern technology. I guess I would consider clones only because of cost and as an improvement in technology knowing that something is better than currently being used. If the budget allowed, I would skip right over the clones.
With the cost of clones fairly low, it might not be a bad experiment. Agree or not?
