http://www.marathonguide.com has lots of good info for races that combine marathons and half marathons.

http://www.runnersworld.com has an excellent race calendar beyond just the races including full 26.2 mile races.

http://www.triathletemag.com is a good source of basic calendar info for international triathlons. http://www.ironmanlive.com is a treasure trove for the internationally sanctioned Ironman race series. http://www.mile141.com has a great message board for triathletes. (It caters mostly to Ironman competitors.)

Also, Google local running clubs and triathlon clubs to get better info, including contacts and message boards. Oops, I forgot where I was... I meant to say, Yahoo them.
