I can be a very logical and rational person, and because I am Catholic, I sometimes question my own beliefs.

Honestly, I do not want to throw all of my years of practicing this religion out the window, but it can be difficult sometimes for me to just believe and have "faith".

It can be difficult to pray at night just to only feel like your praying to yourself in the dark.

So my question is, whenever you are in doubt, how do handle it? or do you?

Do look up on stories and articles to find some sort of inspiration?

would that then make jealousy a virtuous quality to possess? Would the world be a better place if we were all just a little more jealous? Would God be pleased with our efforts to live our lives according to the example He has set for us?

We get enough lying, cheating, bashing from a male dominated society, Y do females still bash each other?
Many women call each other bi(ches and are more critical/judgemental of each other. (And think this is normal.)

When the guy cheats, the woman automatically blames the other woman. What if the women didnt know? If you didnt notice, guys like to lie to get sex.

When many women dress they don't even dress for men, they dress to compete with each other.

so is it reasonable to say that if we desire that someone perish this is not of the Spirit of God? If not, where do these feelings come from?

Is it a daily prayer that is meant for Mary's intercession, or is it is something of a special occasion. Just curious.

Please, no Catholic bashing.

I am still trying to recover from finding out about my wife's infedelity, we are trying to keep our family together but I am seriously struggling with the thoughts that radomly come into my mind. Once they start it's like a snowball effect and I become bitter, angry, and depressed. How do you really give this kind of problem to God and let him work it out when you can't control the thoughts that come into your mind?

I've been admiring Wicca and Wiccans for a while now . (really positive, a big connection with Nature and so on, I just love it. And you are so positive and just peaceful. :) )

Well, I have two questions (Or 3)
1) "Blessed be" , does it refer to life in general, the Goddess..? Or can it be taken as :"Blessed be all that lives, my life etc.." ?

2) what does : )0( mean? The Moon?

3) Can I use any of those, or is it dis-respectful and make me appear as a poseur?

How can I show my support for you? (Not saying that I pity you).

Finally, I know that I do believe in the divinity of Nature, and I am enthralled by the Moon, but I do feel a bit uncomfortable leaving my current religion for Wicca or Buddhism (Two different things, I know) . Any tips on incorporating these beliefs in my life?

Christians assert Jesus fulfilled the prophesy that the messiah would be born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14). I'm told Judaism never said such a thing, only that the messiah is born to a "young lady". Some say the 'virgin' part was borrowed from the pagan God Mishra, not Judaism.

Who's right? How does the Tanakh English version translate it? What do scholars with no religion who couldn't care less (and therefore have no reason to be biased) say?

I keep hearing "God bless you" when someone knows nothing about me. A comment like "I'll pray to God for you" or "God bless your life" screams arrogance to me.

It's not hatred I feel towards them but pure annoyance.

Since I am a non-believer in Christianity, Christ and, all that encompasses your beliefs, I would assume by your standards that you believe I am going to this thing you call “hell” after I die. Even though I was raised with deep values and morals which rival that of the average human being- or Christian for that matter. Anyway, I expect that when I enter “hell” I will see all my family and friends, whom also are “non-believers”. I will also see great humans who once contributed wonderful ideas, thoughts, and intellects to our world. These people might be M.K Gandhi or the Dalai Lama. And depending on what you believe maybe even Martin Luther King JR. So lets recap…. My friends, family, and great world leaders will all be there? It kinda seems like this “hell” you describe…maybe my own heaven?

That would be referring to myself, actually.
I'm in need of a religion, since sitting on my fleshy backside without an sort of belief system except my personal morals just isn't fun anymore.
I have attempted to be a Christian for the better part of my life, but it comes and goes, and doesn't exactly "stick." If you think you can assist me, then try.
If you think Jews are snazzy, then provide me with some links to read up on it or something. [;
Please, sway me how you wish. I'm in the market for something new. Spirit guides? Bhuddism? ATHEISM?

Here are the major sticking points.
-I'm not interested if gays are immediately smited. {I'm straight.}
-It mustn't rule out UFOs or ghosts. I know what I have seen with my sober eyes. I can't deny it.
-I'm not up for something that is very err.. Hardcore, I guess. I will not shave my head and slather my naked body in peanut butter while screaming, "Hermit crabs! Hermit crabs!" {Not literally, but you get the picture.}
