He's obviously saving the best for last.

The phrase Jesus saves has always cracked me up because I think it's supposed to be followed by Jesus saves. . . at First Federal Savings and Loan. :) I don't know that Christ would actually show himself. I've never been sure about what converts people except that something within them was influenced by something on the outside. I don't imagine anyone has ever been converted by someone yelling at them that they are sinners and going to hell.

Maybe he has and you just didn't recognize him. Everyone expects Jesus to be this awe-inspiring, larger-than-life, miracle performing individual who shows himself with a huge blast of light or something like that. But the Bible shows Him to be a rather meek individual who more than anything is a patient teacher. The miracles were performed to show Jesus came from God and had power to do what He promised, but the miracles were not His main purpose in coming. His purposes for coming was to fulfill prophecies (which He did according to the Bible), to teach about God (Jehovah--Psalms 83:18) and His Commandments, to prove that a perfect man could follow God his whole life, and to die as an equal perfect life sacrifice for the perfect life Adam gave away.

All the evidence was written down by witnesses in the Bible. It is up to you if you choose to believe or not.

This is really tough... I just recently accepted Jesus and it's no easy task to accept that someone died for your sins without direct evidence.

This may not make sense now, but think of it this way... Man is totally lost. We fight, rape, kill, pillage, pollute. Jesus is the only prophet of any religion who took it upon himself to make a sacrifice for us as a means of entering heaven despite all the sin. All that is asked is that we have faith in that it happened. Almost all of Christ's original followers were persecuted for passing along his word and I can't think of who would die for a belief without really knowing it's true.

I would contend that this selfless act coupled with devoted followers who also endured less than pleasant deaths are good evidence for this miracle.

I am also a man of science. I do believe in evolution and reason. For some reason I find my belief in Christ more plausable than not plausable. Sometimes you just trust your gut.

You aren't alone in your question. I applaud you for asking, and continue to research this until you find peace.

He is waiting for you to admit to Him that you need a savior, our Lord Jesus Christ. If you really and truly believe that you do, then ask him to forgive you your sin, give your life to serve Him and experience the Holy Spirit that will come inhabiting in you.

You need to be born again to see Jesus. You need to seek Him to find Him. Remember that He does not owe you anything. He has already given all He had when He died for you on the cross.

My guess is He has shown himself to you, but you don't know what to look for. He shows it in the people he sends to us, the smile in perfect strangers, the falling snow and the beauty of our Earth. If you are in hard times, and looking for His grace to get you through, trust me, He is there. He only gives good. If you are looking for a particular thing, that might not be the thing he wants to give you. He sees what we cannot. Maybe the thing you are looking for isn't really what you need. I don't know, because you didn't specify your situation. But, I do know that Jesus does save, and he does love you. If you want him to show himself, look within YOURself.

He already showed Himself , through Christ who died on the cross, and all those times that good things happened to you, who do you think allowed that? What is He waiting for? I think the question should be what are you waiting for?

"If you love me, you will keep the commandments I have given you and I shall ask the Father to give you someone else to sand by you, to be with you always. I mean the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot accept for it can neither see nor recognize that Spirit. But you recognize him, for he is with you now and will be in your hearts. I am not going to leave you alone in the world-- I am coning to you . In a very little while, athe world will see me no more but you will see me, because I am really alive and you will be alive too. When that day comes, you will realize that I am in my Father, that you are in me, and I am in you.

He already showed up for you a couple thousand years ago on the Cross. If you accept him in your heart you will be saved. If you seriously persue God and truly beleive then he will show up in your life and others will see him in you.

More likely than not He is waiting for you to drop the attitude and admit you are a sinner in need of a Savior, then HE WILL save you. In the meantime, I will be praying for you.

You have to want to be saved. Jesus doesn't save people by appearing to them. He gave us his teachings and leadership, it is up to us how we use them. He is waiting for you.
