I've been admiring Wicca and Wiccans for a while now . (really positive, a big connection with Nature and so on, I just love it. And you are so positive and just peaceful. :) )

Well, I have two questions (Or 3)
1) "Blessed be" , does it refer to life in general, the Goddess..? Or can it be taken as :"Blessed be all that lives, my life etc.." ?

2) what does : )0( mean? The Moon?

3) Can I use any of those, or is it dis-respectful and make me appear as a poseur?

How can I show my support for you? (Not saying that I pity you).

Finally, I know that I do believe in the divinity of Nature, and I am enthralled by the Moon, but I do feel a bit uncomfortable leaving my current religion for Wicca or Buddhism (Two different things, I know) . Any tips on incorporating these beliefs in my life?

Haha, sorry Jamus.
I'm okay with typos.

I just get nit picky about things. But I won't have a problem against that person.

1) It's just kind of a general farewell statement; it's like saying "Take care."

2) )o( is used to symbolize the Triple Goddess as seen in the phases of the moon. The waxing moon represents the Maiden phase, the full moon represents the Mother phase, and the waxing moon represents the Crone phase.

3) Eh...I think that'd be your call. I wouldn't feel offended. But I'm sure there's some out there who would scoff and call you a poseur.

To help myself incorporate these elements into my life, I simply just started going outside more and paid closer attention to my natural surroundings. I see the God's growing strength in the lengthening days, and am anxious to see the Goddess' fertility in the spring when the plants are blooming.

I stopped seeing things as purely good or purely evil. There is nothing in this world that is either or-that way of thinking does not give anything a proper balance; everything is capable of doing both good and evil. Not even the God and Goddess are purely good beings. Their own balance of being good and evil is reflected in nature.

I hope this helps, and I'm sorry if it sounds kind of weird...but it's what helps me :-)

I hate to burst bubbles, but:
"1) "Blessed be" , does it refer to life in general, the Goddess..? Or can it be taken as :"Blessed be all that lives, my life etc.." ?"
Blessed be refers to a ritual fragment called the Five-fold Kiss. You'll notice that experienced Wiccans tend to not throw it around because it is MUCH more than a greeting. To tell someone Blessed Be is to imply the whole of the Five-Fold Kiss...not something you imply to strangers of unknown religious orientation.

"2) what does : )0( mean? The Moon?"
Got it in one. The horned moon, while not nearly as important to Wicca as some people think (It's a cosmetic concept, not a core concept,) represents growth, change and the fact that things do not remain the same, although they move in cycles.

"3) Can I use any of those, or is it dis-respectful and make me appear as a poseur?"
I think using Blessed Be as a greeting when you know what it implies is disrespectful if you're not a Wiccan, and obviously I don't care what you do with the moon.

"How can I show my support for you? (Not saying that I pity you)."
Just be honest, open and talk about only the things you know. We Wiccans have enough people who "defend us" badly because they know very little.

1) "Blessed Be" is kinda like saying "have a nice day". It's saying to Be Blessed to whoever you're saying it to. It doesn't refer to anything.
2) )0( refers to three phases of the moon. Waxing, full and waning.
3) You shouldn't use symbols you don't know what they mean. And if you're not Wiccan...you shouldn't either.
4) There is no incorporating anything into Wicca. Especially if it's Abrahamic. Drop your abrahamic religion before Wicca. No true Wiccan is still stuck with an abrahamic religion.

Blessed be is a greeting...just like hello...but it identifies yourself as a sister or brother to the faith. Just like Muslims greet each other with thier saying Blessings be upon you..(I can't spell it in Arabic)...same thing...I guess it could be considered as a formal greeting..religous in nature.

And the )0( is the symbol of the Triple Goddess...it represents the Mother in all her forms ( or in her Trinity): the Maiden, the Mother, and the Crone...where do you think the Christians got their Trinity from: the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost...Pagans had that first...along with the actually Trinity symbol...I believe it was the Irish Catholics that adopted the Trinity from paganism first....but I could be wrong...

And it is not disrespectful in any way...at least not to the people I have met. I am not an intiated Wiccan myself, but agree very much in their spiritual beliefs. I wear many of their symbols in jewerly especially and I am greeted with Blessed Be alot. I kindly give the same greeting even if I am not a swore Wiccan...They are very open to those who wish to learn more about thier beliefs and such...it will not offend them...at least not those I have spoken to.

My suggestions would be to just be more connected to the natural world. Meditation is a good practice to open yourself to the natural powers of the world, to its energies. That is what magic is after all, the harnessing of the earth's energies...

Try and open yourself to those energies and you will see the world in a whole new light. The earth is a being like you and me...and when you finally feel those energies you will see that...

I would try meditating in an isolated place of nature if that is at all possible...let yourself be lost into her smells and sounds...and you will hear her breathing.

This was suggested to me by a Wiccan friend of mine in England...and it was good advise to me...

I'm not qualified to answer your questions (Jewish, not Wiccan) but I want to toss in a couple of cents worth. You have good taste. I know several Wiccans and my dearest friend was Wicca for years and still is fond of it. Those I've met are universally good people. I'm not saying they're perfect, some are boring, some are flaky, like any group. But all I've met were good.
