If Ghandi is in Hell that would make Christianity a hateful and horrible religion won't it?
...Gasp!

I've asked that a to a lot of Christians. The only two answers I get are:
1. Yes, sorry bout that.
2. I don't know (which I assume means #1 but they are afraid to say it).
Though I don't believe in an afterlife - I would be more than happy to go wherever they send people like Gandhi.

Gandhi is in the ground if one is an atheist.
If one is a Christian then Gandhi should be in hell now being tortured for eternity.
If Islam I think they have the same hell for Gandhi. I'm not sure about Jewish faith. Do they believe in hell? I don't know.
To Asian believers, Gandhi should be in heaven.

Some happy christians may end up in hell too - it all depends on God's judgment.
As for Ghandi, it should not concern anyone where he has gone to. Even if a christian is 'anti-Ghandi' he should forgive .
While we are still alive, we can make efforts to live by the Word of God and trust God to admit us to Heaven.

I know for sure that only God Himself knows.....and Gandhi as well.....wherever his spirit is right now.
Sounds to me like you have a problem with Happy Christians or something.....or were you not trying to be sarcastic in nature??
Not sure your intent of the question I guess!
Maybe you are finding a hard time rationalizing away the truth, when it is what it is!
There is no sense denying it....when it is for YOUR good!!!
God is not desiring to punish us.....He sent Jesus Christ to "seek and to save those who were lost"....and read John 14:6 too.....One way....that's it! Not my words.....but divine words....I'm just repeating them to you.....for your sake as well! But for some reason, you are finding yourself offended by this truth! That is the real point of this....isn't it?
It's ok.....we've all been there.....we're all humans! It would be in your best interest to stop wasting time...YOUR time, and seek after what the Truth really is, written in the Holy Bible....."inspired" by God to men and women......God breathed those words to us.....so we may KNOW and have knowledge of HIS plan for us......not to punish....but to protect, because we are highly valuable.....and He loves us through His Son, unconditionally and sacrificially......
Who else has ever done this for YOU.....perfectly???
Seek after the truth.....and the truth will set YOU FREE!!!!

It would be improper for anyone (Christian or otherwise) to presume to know the answer to that question.
I would, however, speculate that he may have some answering to do over his parenting. Isn't it crazy how people automatically assume Ghandi was great in ALL aspects of his life, but are oblivious to the terrible conflicts he had with his son?

No, Mahatma Gandhi was a true holy man, and he went straight to Heaven after he died. Yes, I'm a 'happy Christian' and I'm a CATHOLIC ... but I believe that when Jesus Christ died on the cross for ALL of our sins, that means all of the sins of EVERY PERSON EVER BORN ... before he was born, after he was born, while he was alive, after he died. WE ARE ALL GOING TO HEAVEN. Hell is like a 'summer school' in a hot, dank building when the rest of us can play in the sun and fresh air ... but after that, the 'bad/evil' people will still go to Heaven.

Why the hell (pun) would Gandhi be in hell? Christianity doesn't just damn all non practitioners to hell, if it did, well, hell would overflow. Damning people just for that would go against the whole point of Christianity.

If he is, God is going to get an earful from me after I die.
Good people shouldn't go to hell. The Bible describes God as forgiving and just... and a forgiving and just God isn't going to send GOOD PEOPLE to hell.
And from what I've learned, Ghandi seems like he was a good person.
