Religious conversion is brainwashing. Brainwashing is wrong.

It's not "wrong," but does not really mark a real transformation. In most cases, the person simply goes back to behaving as they always did.

A real transformation can only come with persistance. Jesus talked about this in a little known parable about a man knocking at his friends house. The friend did not give the man any bread until the man persisted. The interpretation would be that a person has to persist with a Spiritual practice in order to end up with a genuine transformation. That spiritual practice would be "Worship in Spirit." Which is another aspect of the Original Gospel which is generally ignored.

So a religious conversion is neither correct nor wrong... it is just not a real transformation in most cases.

Spiritual conversion through Jesus Christ is the ONLY correct way - naturally, because Jesus is perfect and knows no sin. People who let others talk them into or lead them away from God's word and they convert to a religion that does not acknowledge and worship God, they are in the wrong because they have chosen the wrong road, abiding by a man-made religion and believing in false doctrines, gods, etc.

The ONLY REAL conversion comes from God through His Holy Spirit.

There is no right or wrong. Religious beliefs and conversions are often opinionated. If you believe you want to convert to another religion then go for it..no one in this world knows for sure if its right or wrong

I applaud it. I think it is great to choose a religion that you feel suits you because you actually believe in it, rather than because you were raised to believe it. Conversion shows you can think for yourself, and choose a religion based on research and knowledge, rather than simply accepting the religion you just happened to be born into, as the correct religion.

Not sure what you mean....people who choose to convert to another faith OR religions that try to make people come to their church???

I've been studying with the JW's and for us, it is not about conversion...it's about telling and teaching accurate knowledge about the scriptures which is what Jesus asked us to do. We completely respect that everyone has their own mind, and must make a very serious decision about wanting to become a witness all on their own.

What do you mean by conversion? If you mean the act of intentionally trying to convert people of other faiths or of no faith to your faith, then I think it is immoral and wrong. Everyone has the right to believe as they choose.

If someone asks you about your beliefs and wants to learn about them, then it's perfectly fine to teach them what you know. But no one has the right to try to force, coerce, trick or scare another into believing anything.

On the other hand, if by conversion you meant someone choosing of their own free will to convert to another faith then that is perfectly fine.

Conversion is fine, indoctrination is wrong. If you choose to believe in something because you think that it's the best answer, that's fine. If you believe in something because your preacher, family, and friends do, then you've been duped!

I think that your religion is something that should be important to you, you should never convert because of anybody only if you feel that that you are more comfortable with that religion.
