What faith are you.. United Pentecostal ? as they also push the Do's N Donts rules.
At age 18 you are legally an adult which means you can leave home, wear what you want etc, but if your living in your parents home you have to abide by their rules.
Ask to get a job and save your money and move out as thats the only way to get away from this type of bondage as I doubt your parents will stop going to this church.

You are experiencing religion on an extreme level. I also have come from a strong religious back ground, but not half the restrictions you have brought up. Sounds like Mormon, Southern Baptist from my experience (hope I don't sound ignorant on that). You will be 18 soon and aloud in the real world to make your own decisions. You might just belong to an extreme religious group, but not all are like that. However, if you plan to live under your parents roof, you may be stuck with their rules, or just move out when your 18 if you are financially able.

That is a pretty tuff religion that you in or is it your parents telling you to do all of this. I am sorry that you could not talk to guys till you were 16 and sorry you could not watch movies or TV. Different religions have different guide lines they go by and many are different. All of them are not like this. You are coming close to becoming the age that you can choose what religion you want to do your self. But.. as long as you live with your parents and this is what they want to believe then you will have to honor their wishes till you are out on your own.

I don't understand your question. Does it have to do with religion...or strict parents? No offense, but if you knew that your parents did not approve of Hollister, why would you buy it? Remember this moment when you become a parent. It is the toughest job in the world and your children will not appreciate it until they get much older.

I know exactly how you feel but since you are almost eighteen, (the same age as me) we are so incredibly close to acheiving what we want. Wait until you are in college, or moved out, then you can be free... Trust me, it's all that keeps me going each day.

Who made you throw the things out? Your parents? You are almost 18 years old and you should definitely be allowed to wear whatever you want to wear.
That is ridiculous.

i think your issue is more with your parents then religion, as for your parents making you throw stuff out that they don't like, you do still live in their home and do have to live by their rules thats just life, and life is not fair. if i was in that situation i would try and talk to my parents and if that did not work i would go to other family members aunts, uncles, or grandparents and try to get them to help you

What church did you go to? sounds like your church is making up rules that are not found in the bible. Ask someone for the reason behind these rules.
Look for a nondenominational church.

Realize that you are part of a legalistic church. As soon as you are able, walk away from it. Join a church that preaches the word of God. These people are not preaching the word of God.
