I have had violation for not being an "answer or question" when I was trying to encourage spiritually a question-maker. I will no longer be bothered with this site since I have seen obsene pictures, purposely misspelled swear words as answers and downright offensive content on religion/spirituality. I will let you know if I find a truly spiritual site. God bless you!

Atheists tend to look at reality an accept it as it is. They believe what can be verified to be truth in the only existence that anyone that has ever lived on earth has ever seen and been able to prove consistently. Christians, on the other hand, refuse to believe things that the rest of the world takes for granted, like evolution and gods originating as ideas in the cultures that worshipped them. Christians believe that their god is the only God. They don't believe that their version god was not around until about 325 CE, when a council voted to make Jesus part of their godhead. They don't believe that Noah's flood never happened. They don't believe that we did not all descend from Adam and Eve, but the rest of us do.

There are many other examples, but the bottom line is that Christians are the ones that really choose not to believe things tha can be verified to be true, so shouldn't they be the ones that are considered "Non-believers"?

GEN 7:2 Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female.

GEN 7:8 Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creepeth upon the earth, GEN 7:9 There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah.

Is this a contradiction or it means that animals weant in by pairs.

The words that are written plainly in the bible. Why do
pastors explain it like its written in a riddle. They go to
the greek bible do all this research like it takes a scholar to
figure it out/ alot of it is commonsense. The prophecies is the
only thing and the bible that is written in a mystery.

It was like putting a kid into a room with a bunch of toys and then right in the middle of the room you put a really cool toy then tell the kid not to touch it.

Then when the kid of course messes with it you get pissed off and kick the kid out of your house for disobeying you.

In actuality it sounds like God put the tree there to tempt them.
So the question is who is the tempter? Did God tempt first or did satan?

I've read about some cases on here where some atheists say that after they read the Bible, they became non-believers. To me, it would seem that people that read the Bible and "find flaws" would either want to switch religions or become agnostic. I don't really believe the statement, "I read the Bible and then I became an atheist."

To these atheists: Why was it that you chose atheism immediately after reading the Bible?

Thank you in advance for your responses. :)

It was given to you without consent, you'll be forced to use it no matter what, and you seem ungrateful if you don't sing its praises upon receiving it.

I grew up Christian, but changed to the Wiccan religion (christian-wiccan actually). In my experience, Christianity itself (and some other similar religions) make God out to be selfish and opinionated. "Do it my way or go to hell" is the impression that's given. And I also get the impression of "live life my way or go to hell".

I happen to think God is more open minded and libral than we give him credit for. I practice witchcraft. The Bible says that's the devil, but there is no devil in the craft. The Bible was written by man, not God, even though the men who right it state that "God spoke through me". Um, sure. Wouldn't make more sence that God would want us to live our lives in a way that would make us feel comfortable when worshiping him? For instance, I worship the Lord in nature, because he created it. What are your thoughts? I'm just curious to see the answers, not looking for an answer regarding my own beliefs. I like a good debate.
