It was a sin of culinary taste. Scallops wrapped in bacon? Is that Homer Simpson's idea of northeastern dining?

I've never heard of it.

Jesus was an observant Jew of his time. He wanted to revive the kavannah or spiritual-sense in the practice of Judaism, not to replace it with a whole new religion.
I think he'd be appalled at most of the things which have been done "in his name" over the past 2000 years, and your treyfe cocktail snack would be the least of it.

Yes. Cause that was for the Jews not for Christians. Christians didnt exist at the time. It was under the Old Testament and it was given to protect the Jews from diseases they would have caught if they ate the food cause of refridgeration and cooking issues. Also cause Christians are no longer under the law but grace the New Testament is what we are under and we can eat that stuff. Galatians 5: 4Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. Matthew 15: 8This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. 9But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. 10And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand: 11Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man. also read Hebrews.

well, i don't think jesus would really want us to eat like a tradition....that's kind of ruling what we should do. it's kind of hard to explain, so i hope you get what i'm saying!

besides that's not even his birthday. christmas is.

oh, i think that jesus is gonna forgive people who eat pork...or else he wouldn't be the kind hearted jesus that we believed him to be. it would pretty much mean that he is disliking anyone who ever ate pork and that's not his way because he believed every sin should be forgiven.

ok, that was pretty much what i was trying to say earlier.

ok, we're good!

I'll just let you get familiar with who Jesus is and what he represented before I comment on this one. Read the NT and you will have a better understanding of Jesus, the man...

We are told in the New Testament to slay and eat.
Call nothing common or unclean, that God has blessed.
Jesus will bless whar ever we ask. Did you pray over your food?<><
