Is a symbolic interpretation of Hell allowed by Catholicism?

I want to believe in God so badly but it seems so hard to believe. Eternal life seems more like a fairy-tale than truth. I have been morbidly depressed for the past few weeks thinking about oblivion. If God is really there why is he allowing me to suffer like this? I say the rosary and my prayers every night yet he's letting me suffer. If he really is there I want to dedicate my life to him and become a priest. Please tell me some convincing stories of acts of God in your life or give me words of advice. Thank you guys.

Most all Jewish men of his time were married by the age of 20.
Jesus cloaked himself with 12 males, and 1 whore. By all accounts: Jesus was non-violent, had a forgiving and all-inclusive nature. Jesus was all-forgiving; had sympathy for the outcasts of society, and openly loved 'all men'. Is it possible that Jesus was gay? Did the people of his times flock to him as we do, say, Michael Jackson, Pee Wee Herman, Prince, David Bowie, Clay Aiken, Barry Manilow, Rock Hudson, our Brady Bunch dad, et al? Is the christian aspect of 'confession' less than what we afford to our hair stylists, bar tenders, actors,
designers, brokers, real estate agents, etc. Factor in the 'times' (historical, religious, political, et al) of Jesus, and tell me what you think? 9I absolutely WILL award those 10 pts, if that matters...)

does every individual sperm and egg carry the original sin?

Theists are often inclined to say that, without religion, we would be reduced to immoral, unethical animals. However, is not following the laws laid out in, say, the bible simply obeying rules? God could’ve commanded that people with red hair be tortured, or that disobedient children should be stoned to death – Okay, bad example, but you get my point. Obeying laws is not tantamount to morality.

Furthermore, there are some things – slavery for example – that the bible not only refuses to admonish, but frequently condones. These days we know that slavery is immoral and unethical. From where did this new direction in our moral compass spring if it was not from a biblical/religious perspective? Could it be that we are capable of morality independent of god and religion? After all, if we were obeying the bible word for word, I’d have been stoned to death a long time ago or perhaps sold into slavery…

If you do, why you still believe?

What will point you not to and accept religions are men made up concepts???

Example, your goal is to enter heaven in eternity with your Jesus or God or Allah but you suppose to also accept or been told heaven is a sinless place where no sin can occur because it i suppose to be perfect and no sin can take place. That is why God lives there and you want to go there because there is no sin there.

Then, if you discovered from your reading your religion and found out sin do occur or can occur in heaven like 2/3 angels rebel which must have been planned for many hours if not days or even months. That means evil or sin have tood place many times and this God did not know it until angels rebelled???

You see this is just one important contradiction of your religion of a socalled perfect heaven. Why do you still believe in your religion as from God not from men long ago?

What drives you not to accept simple truths like my example of a evil heaven

How long is it to when you get used to being a Jehovah's Witness? I am still tip toeing in proverbial clouds because I am still feeling so happy and blessed to be a fully fledged servant of the True God Jehovah.

Why is it that I have heard of many stories about demons, possesions, and ghosts in the christian religion terrorizing families and such, but I have never heard of such a thing happening in Buddhism, Shamenism (besides ghosts), and etc.

True confession: I think ALL organized religions are dangerous and stupid.... (Don't get me started on the Jehovah W's, eh?) But I've been reading some of the core beliefs of Muslims here, and I'm amazed at their level of arrogance and the fantasy-land they exist in. I don't believe in God, so in my eyes these folks are psychiatrically pathological! Might add; I'm liberal about the practice of religion, detest our current war, am not an anti-immigration supporter, et al.... But some of these folks are freaking me out a bit. What are they doing here in a nation that values separation of church and state? What is in the baggage they carry into our nation?

Ok, it takes a sperm and an egg to make a fetus. Does God have sperm? And he somehow transported it into Mary? Or was Jesus somehow born from an unfertilized egg, meaning that he was just a clone of Mary?

The world is so big and full of so many different things, people, and experiences.

Yet, you only have a miserably short lifetime to absorb everything you can. And the things you do absorb... it's not even a fraction compared to the whole.

It's almost as if your in this dark gloomy cave and suddenly someone flashes a bright light so you can savor a few precious moments of light and see your surroundings. Then as suddenly as it came, the light goes out, leaving you in the darkness once more.
