well if god didn't exist then life would still be the exact way it is today
the world wouldn't end because god didn't exist so there would be no cause for chaos or destruction or anything, nothing would be affected except the human psyche or more specifically the will to live
if humanity were to find out that there is no god (I'm not saying there is no god I'm just using it as an example) then there would be no hope of an afterlife just the ceasing of existence which would make everyone on the planet want to live a lot longer if there is nothing to look forward to after this life.
but as for the "all of creation" nothing would change the earth would still spin around the sun and what-not because if god didn't exist then god didn't creat the universe and everything in it therefore the universe would not come crashing down or anything like that humanity would still exist because there would have never been a god to influence anything
see what i mean??

God obviously doesn't exists but then humans must worship such a nonexistent God because that is the only way for them to answer their own question as who they are and what purpose they have on earth or being a living thinking being and why they are above the animal kingdom.
Also, there are too major money involved now with religions. These preachers will take every cent you have in your pocket to get you hooked with the promise of a paradise with their invisible God. We are talking about multibillion dollars from believers all over the world. The faith healers and TV evangelists are making a major killing better than Wall street.
It will be time before they accept this truth. It could take another 10,000 without any signs of spirits or even a low ranking angel or another messiah with magical power.
Bottomline is it is going to be hard for humans to deny God especially there is so many humans on this planet and struggling against each other to have their own bounties of this earth and the water they need to drink. They will fight in the name of their invented God to the deal and to the end of humanity.
That is the true about humanity and the religions they have invented. Maybe humanity grow up just for once in this modern day of scientific discovery.

You think that he exist? If so why doesn't he come round and clear up all the problems that he caused because of his ignorance when he, as some people think, made all things.
There would be no difference, but your question should have been; " What if everyone stopped accepting religion and stopped believing in a god"? The answer to this question is that the world would be a better place and there would not be any wars, and people would be more friendly to one another.

If god doesn't exist and humanity realizes this, then;
The strongest hindrance to progress is now removed.
- The possibility of dark ages brought about wars and man-made catastrophe through nuclear wars (and wars is almost always about religion) is now out of question.
- The value of life is realized even more. Research will be towards prolonging active life as much as possible by eliminating diseases and alleviating, treating and curing aging.
- More focus on human rights and not religious rights. Take a closer look at the US and you'll realize that religious rights takes precedence here above all else.
- Ultimately a movement to eradicate death.
Truly if there are other advanced civilizations in the universe that has transcended religion, they must have come to the point of being able to transcend death itself but not through a religious mystical sense.

There are 2 types of people....One who believe that God exists and the other who believe God DOES NOT exist.
Its is impossible to prove God's existence to people who do not believe in God
Its is IMPOSSIBLE to prove God's non-existence to people who believe in God
So what does that prove? It proves that the existence of God is a BELIEF and the non-existence of God is ANOTHER BELIEF.
So guys, we are just dealing with 2 beliefs here. You see, its not about God at all, its about our beliefs. If you get convinced that God doesnt get exist, you have just switched to another belief....no worries life will just go on like normal.
Its a stupid stupid notion that God will spank you if you dont believe in Him, and an equally stupid notion that the world will collapse if he doesnt exist.
If you ask me, the evolution of mankind involves moving to the next level, you need to cross the level of belief (One or another) and then you will see the reality for yourself. Hinduism calls this level the level of Advait, where the dual between you and your belief breaks of and frees you !

You know, you've asked my favorite question I enjoy answering. This one's for you Lord!
The way I perceive this question is simple. Since I , as a believer of God/Christ and a follower of HIS Laws, decided to accept all that is Truth, should it be that there is no God and the non-believers and those of little or no faith prove to be right, there is nothing lost and nothing gained and since I would be dead and in the non-believer's opinion it wouldn't make a bit of difference anyway since I am dead! Right?
Now take the coin and flip it over. If We , the believers, however few we might be in comparison to non believers, are correct in what God has laid out in HIS Bible and we have made all efforts to follow HIS commands, then WE have everything to gain and the non-believers have everything to lose. That is to say, they would have lost all possiblity of being with God for the eternity HE promises in Heaven.
So it seems to be that the burden is really on the non-believer, because if he is proved wrong in the end times, he has everything to lose. And All I have done for obeying what I only know how to do anyway, God's Laws and have an added gift of God's Love.
Now, one might ask. But who's God is the correct God? Again, the same theory would apply in this case as well. I believe that with the exception of a few religions/ beliefs across the globe, everyone who knows and worships and reveres the eternal, supernatural God of the Bible, all are bound for Heaven. Though each one's journey may take a different route, the destination is the same
Blessings

I haven't believed that a god exists since I was 12. Life has carried on. I must say I have been much happier since coming to that realization.

Well thinking soberly, if God did not exist, none of us would exist. As long as we know God created everything that surrounds us, then we can reckon that nothing would exist if God never existed.
From the other side, the saying itself is nonsense, because God always existed and will always exist, nobody and nothing created Him, nobody and nothing will be able to make His existence stop.

There are a LOT of people on the planet who base a significant part of their life and/or world view around their belief in God.
If that belief were taken away from them, I'd expect a psychological meltdown of epic proportions all over the world.

Well see, there is a theory that this scientist guy made up. He believed in God.
Well he said, if you believe in God - it`s all only to YOUR benefit. If He exists & you believe, you will live an amazing life after death with no problems! You`ll be in HEAVEN lol.
If He doesn`t exist & you believe - it`s still to your benefit. You spent your life believing in something, always having something to give you faith & hope - what do you have to loose?
