"Ave Maria" is the Catholic "Hail Mary" prayer in Latin:

Ave Maria, gratia plena
Hail Mary, full of grace

Dominus tecum
The Lord is with thee

Benedicta tu in mulieribus
Blessed art thou among women

Et benedictus fructus ventris tuae, Jesus.
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Ave Maria, Mater Dei,
Holy Mary, mother of God,

Ora ora pro nobis peccatoribus
pray for us sinners

Nunc et in hora mortis nostrae,
now and at the hour of our death,

Amen.

Franz Schubert's version is the most popular.

With love in Christ.

You might be refering to this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ave_Maria_%28Gounod%29

Composed by Gounod, based on Bach's Prelude #1 in C Major

Or perhaps this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ellens_dritter_Gesang
Composed by Schubert, also a variant appears near the end of Disney's Fantasia.
