How can the religious wingnuts be pacified while teaching our children honest, useful science (or is this even possible)?

I live in the bible belt, and fear my kids won't get the quality science education I did (I was even taught natural selection in the church school I attended for a few years).

The bad person rapes, molests, steals from, and kills other people, but makes sure they do everything that you do to make it up to your god after they've done those things.

The good person does not.

No? Aren't we still people serving people, living in a guinea pig's paradise? Did you really think you could unscramble scrambled eggs? "What is done is done and can never be undone." -God

My dear lab-rat, who is your leader? God, Satan, or Man? Was there ever a choice?

i've seen it argued that there couldn't be suffering with a benevolent and omnipotent God.

(there's a whole philosophy-thing based on this called theodicy)

anyway, the conclusion that most people arguing this arrive at is that therefore God must be malevolent or lazy.

but wouldn't it be just as hard to explain goodness and kindness in the face of a non-loving God?

I had a lot of sickness and some deaths in the family. I had to quit my job and recently my wife filed for divorce and sole custody of our kids. It's been a very trying time.

I gave up on God since He wasn't looking out for me and my family. I've since realized I was expecting too much... I was selfish. Now I must return to church and ask for His forgiveness.

Will He forgive me for this error?

God Bless

Or just the ones I committed before he was put on the cross? Did he die and give us an undated blank check? How does this actually work?

I believe once you are born again you're in a different being in Christ ( which never sin ). And while you are living in Christ, Gods guides you into perfection and you'll never sin. Thats a short way to tell you how I will never sin. e-mail me if you want to commit.

God is a mighty God and can do anything so why did Jesus have to die for our sins? Why couldnt life continue without him having to die?
Im religious but I dont understand that...because God can do anything. He could have put us all here and let life be if he wanted.

Any one can see the Earth is flat and we are not falling off!

As for us being apes once, the Bible clearly says God created Adam and Eve in his own image. What greater proof can people want that God's word?

Please explain the innerworkings of this. I understand the Theology behind it so don't waste your time with "God hates sin" or "a perfect sacrafice was needed." I want to know how the act of God becoming flesh and "dieing" on a cross made it so that we no longer need to sacrafice seeing as the act of sacrafice never really pleased God anyway. How does God dieing make it so that He isn't repulsed by our sinfulness?
