What should I do about this? I am Christian and my husband is muslim. he lied to his family and told them that I converted and didnt tell me until several months after he did this. now we have a son. I have no intention of converting and we also agree that we will raise our son being open to both faiths. my problem is, I dont want my son around his family now because its a big lie. i dont approve of my husband lying and though he thinks i should support him, i think he should tell them the truth. any advice?

Ridiculous, or fascinating? Why and why not?

Oh, and in my Bible it says thou shall not kill. Nothing about, thou shall not murder. That sounds suspiciously human of the Bible.

Oh, and last but not my least favorite question. If Jesus was born to die for our sins, why and I did Jesus say and I quote, "father, forgive them for they know not what they do"?
Isn't that odd, and ironic for thy divine lord, to call his people ignorant fools while being crucified?

Anyways, don't try to understand me, I'm a walking contradiction and very unintelligible. LoL, if you think I just called myself an idiot.

This goes beyond one particular belief although this question comes from something I have just read in my local paper which is The Hartford Courant. A Hartford Church had its nativity display vandalized last night where someone smashed the faces of every porcelain figure in it. There have been instances where Wiccan wreaths in other states have been damaged. Even locally, in my neighborhood, people have had their lawn displays wrecked - and for what purpose? This is not how one shows love and respect towards their fellow human being.

I am an atheist. I do not believe in god or jesus

I try to be a good person and be nice to others

Is it really fair that some "god" would send me to hell forever just for not thinking the "right" way.

So either there's no hell, or god isn't fair.

For those who would answer, "You had the choice to accept jesus..." is that a fair choice, "Believe what you've been told or burn?"

This god person doesn't sound very fair at all.

Please don't tell me that I deserve hell because some chick got some bad advice from a talking snake and ate from a magical tree.

My college is offering 25 people the chance to spend a month in London to do an internship with different companies. Ranging from "Shots"( a magazine over there), to numerous PR companies, a film production company, and many other things.

It costs $5k, and I have to submit my application before January 18.

I'm getting 4 majors. Spanish, Russian, Arabic, and Japanese(I want to be a translator). I will have to transfer from my current school to get three of these degrees however. I think it would be great for my resume to have this international internship on it. I can take out a student loan for it.

What do you think? Should I apply?

okay so i am a 14 year old Episcopalian (confirmed) i go to Church every sunday, and i go to a Catholic school. but i am sort of confused. I believe in God and Jesus, but why isJesus Christ the Savior of the World is all there murder and hatred , and that is where the Agnostic theism part comes in. I sort of only want to believe when i see it or when there is proff. I mean the ressurcution is proff but why is all this awful stuff happening? I believe in God and Jesus but i just want to know why all this bad stuff is happening becasue jesus is the savior of the world

The embers glowed softly, and in their dim light, I gazed round the room and I cherished the sight.

My wife was asleep, her head on my chest, My daughter beside me, angelic in rest.

Outside the snow fell, a blanket of white, Transforming the yard to a winter delight.

The sparkling lights in the tree I believe, Completed the magic that was Christmas Eve.

My eyelids were heavy, my breathing was deep, Secure and surrounded by love I would sleep.

In perfect contentment, or so it would seem, So I slumbered, perhaps I started to dream.

The sound wasn't loud, and it wasn't too near, But I opened my eyes when it tickled my ear.

Perhaps just a cough, I didn't quite know, Then the sure sound of footsteps outside in the snow.

My soul gave a tremble, I struggled to hear, And I crept to the door just to see who was near.

Standing out in t he cold and the dark of the night, A lone figure stood, his face weary and tight.

A soldier, I puzzled, some twenty years old, Perhaps a Marine, huddled here in the cold.

Alone in the dark, he looked up and smiled, Standing watch over me, and my wife and my child.

"What are you doing?" I asked without fear, "Come in this moment, it's freezing out here!

I can carry the weight of killing another, Or lay down my life with my sister and brother..
