Because the Bible doesn't prove anything. It is based on faith not proven facts.

because heaven may or may not exist and jesus is definitely not the only way to get supreme peace.

ever hear of norse mythology (valhalla), buddhism, hinduism, islam, judaism, sikhism, and any other of the world's religions?

you know what makes no sense? religious zealotism. with all the different philosophies and personalities out there, there is no reason for single-mindedness. this is not to say that i have no respect for people who are true to their faith, since i do.

know what makes little sense? how the bible has been altered so many times over the years. it's hardly the original document! and yet, thousands of people swear by it, word for word. you can interpret the bible a thousand different ways and each way will be unique. this being said, have you ever even read the bible? if you have, you know what i'm talking about.

First it must be proven that the Bible is 100% infallable. This cannot be proven. In fact, virtually all Biblical scholars and those who attended seminary school know that the Bible contains errors and inconsistancies. If you don't believe me then do an experiment today and see if all the gospel writers agree upon if Jesus died before or after the Passover.

Yes.. it does make sense. Every religion I have looked into are basically the same. The difference is the emphasise that a particular religion places on certain aspects. Your Jesus is another persons Allah or Mohammed........or whatever. some relgions have a forgiving god, others a vengenful one but the base beliefs are very similar.
For example....in the UK Christian religions are gerenally more forgiving but the Catholic one seems to be very guilt driven.
So, it is not about the religion, as such...........but the interpretation of the religious texts.

Could you please tell me how the Bible proves this? And I mean real proof, not what the Bible says. You can't prove something based on something that in itself hasn't been proved, no matter how much you may personally believe it.

For instance, you can't prove that the Bible is true because the Bible says it is. That's circular logic.

I'm a Christian, but I think it's foolish to say that the Bible "proves" anything. There is no concrete physical evidence that heaven even exists. It sounds like you are just trying to instigate an argument with the way you've worded your question.

The bible only proves that the bible exists, nothing more.

To take the bible as proof that anything in it is true is like a con artist saying "trust me"

I personally believe that any religion that teaches the people to be good, kind and honest is a worthwhile religion able to give entrance to heaven. It is the height of arrogance to believe that out of all the people in the world, only ONE race received any real messages from God. Besides that, do you know how many incompetent men have translated the bible throughout history? How many of them that had a hidden agenda for transcribing things in a particular manner to further their own ends?

What doesn't make sense to me are those that condemn others for their beliefs. If a religion guides its people to strive to become better, more caring and honest human beings, then I think it is worthwhile and worthy of being considered a message from God. Doesn't the christian religion say that "god moves in mysterious ways"? Since that's said so often, why is it so hard to believe that God has spoken to more than one race, more than one group of people throughout the total history of man? To believe in a book AND only in a book that has been tampered with so much is not sensible. God gave us all a brain with which to think and make up our own minds. I don't believe he ever intended us to follow blindly like sheep. If he had, he would not have given us the capacity to think and reason and find logic within certain aspects of our lives. He would not have needed to give us free will because his ends would have been better acheived through making us mindless creatures with no will power of our own.

Incidentally, I am pretty much a christian. However, I have used the gift God gave me (my mind) and figured out that God would not be so unfair as to have so many people on earth raised in an atmosphere where they had no hope of ever following christianity. I believe that God loves us all much more than that and has made allowances for everyone based on their own cultural limitations. I think faith in him (in whatever form he chose to manifest himself to the people), as well as an honest effort to live our lives by being the best person we can is the truest route to Heaven. Anyone who refuses to use their mind to make their own judgment about things, as well as refuses to make allowances for people who are raised differently, are the greatest fools doomed to hell.

I even think Atheists have a chance of heaven, even if it is smaller, because I think the good will find Heaven anyway. The evil, no matter what religion, will find hell.

My opinion.

Because not everyone has the same faith in the Bible that you do. I put my faith in the Dhammapata, the teachings of the Buddha, and the Tao Te Ching, the standard book of essential Taoism by Lao-Tsu. I believe the Bible has been altered and amended to promote the agendas of men in power in the Catholic Church, and then later by King James.

The Bible is true and is Gods inspired word. But Christendom has let people down by it involvement in politics and wars and hyporitical love. Search for a religion that does not involve itself in politics, war and follows true love word-wide. Jesus said the identifying mark is having true, unhyprotical love among themselves. Look for ones who spread the message of peace - FREE

The Bible only "proves" anything if you believe in it.

Other religions make the same claims for their holy scriptures as well.
