Actually - I celebrate the Winter Solstice/Yule. I put up a yule tree, sing carols, buy gifts for my loved ones, share what I have with those less fortunate, and have a large feast with my family and friends. This goes on for about 12 days (until after the first of the year). So technically - yeah, I'm still celebrating come December 25. My parents celebrate the secular version of Christmas and so sometimes we'll go over there and celebrate with them. But this year - all our merriment is happening tomorrow. :)

I am definitely NOT christian.....I celebrate "Christmas" but only the Santa, family, togetherness aspects of it. I put up a tree (as this is not really a "christian" thing anyways), decorate my house in non-religious items, such as snowmen and whatnot, and celebrate togetherness with my family and friends. We leave cookies for Santa on the eve, open presents on the morning, eat a big meal together, and just enjoy each others company, as it is hard to do so all throughout the year, as we live far apart. Family is what Christmas means to me, that's it, that's all.

Sure, if I'm not being completely sloth, I'll put up a tree and we'll have presents or even a Christmas party.

It's not for religious reasons, but rather to enjoy the celebration of the holiday as a time to appreciate your friends and loved ones and celebrate your time with them.

PG,
I am a Christian and I do not understand why a CHRISTIAN would celebrate Christmas. It is not and could not be the Birth-time of CHRIST. Christians are the ones who should be asked "WHY they celebrate it". The only thing we find in the scriptures that the Christians celebrated was the Lord's Supper on the First Day of the week. There are Christians who do not even do that. Have a great weekend.
Thanks,
Eds (Christian)

yes..i am wiccan (witchcraft)....beforehand, i must explain to you that no, we are not evil because we practice witchcraft...it is just a different way of worshipping God....

people say we worship the devil, we do NOT even BELIEVE in a devil or SATAN....anybody who worships the devil is not a witch, they are called satanists.....

to answer your question though...yes we do celebrate christmas....but christmas for us is more about celebrating the winter solstice rather than the birth of christ....

we celebrate it today...December 21....

in fact many christian traditions were adopted from wiccan tradition....such as...the christmas tree, the yule log, christmas dinner......have you ever wondered why some xmas trees have stars on them and some angels?....

before the birth of crist, stars were used....the christian religion adopted this but started a new one for some families, the angel......

by the by, if you still believe the wiccan religion is evil...consider the fact that the catholic church is responsible for more deaths than adolf hitler and bin laden combined.....you dont believe me?...look it up!!!!

no and it's a pagan holiday adopted by christians
i enjoy shopping and all the seasonal candy that is available and the school vacation for the holidays so i could spend more time with the kids
we just don't observe non islamic holidays nor do we teach our children about saints , we do try our best to explain it in a simple way to our kids the way our parents explained to us why we don't celebrate chrsitmas when we were kids the way our christian neighbors did.

Provocative question.........I was baptised as Christian. I do not follow that "faith" as I tested it and found it lacking. So, I do not celebrate Christmas as a religious festive but do have Christmas as time to spend with loved ones and exchange gifts.

Sure - most of my family still believes, even if I am an atheist. I look at it as a chance to see them again. Many I haven't seen much through the year, and I enjoy getting together with them.

At home, we have a tree up, because it's tradition. It doesn't mean I believe in a supernatural god, any more than you putting a dollar under your kid's pillow means that you really believe in the Tooth Fairy.

Yes. We let Christians name it and celebrate it as Jesus's birthday. I celebrate the spirit of Christmas. You know, giving to the ones you love and being jolly.

Yes, I do. Christmas isn't a Christian holiday, anyway.

Christmas is a stolen and bastardized Pagan holiday. Everything associated with Christmas comes from Pagan tradition... The presents, the tree, the lights, the "yule" log, even the birth of a savior is Pagan.
