According to the Christians: Yes.

They believe suicides go to Hell. So, in their eyes, that person you know is there right now.

Not everyone goes to heaven. those who do have a heavenly future have a job to do.
(REVELATION 20:4) And I saw thrones, and there were those who sat down on them, and power of judging was given them. Yes, I saw the souls of those executed with the ax for the witness they bore to Jesus and for speaking about God, and those who had worshiped neither the wild beast nor its image and who had not received the mark upon their forehead and upon their hand. And they came to life and ruled as kings with the Christ for a thousand years.

They have been selected to help Jesus with the judging.

this cannot apply to everyone who dies.

So it belies the teaching about every person going to heaven.

And if everyone finishes up in heaven, there is not much point in changing the system on earth. or the resurrection.
We could all continue to be born, live die, suffer and look forward to a better life in heaven...but the bible does ot support this idea.
It supports a continuing life on earth...WITHOUT...sickness or death...Rev. 21; 4.

I believe in rebirth, and that this person will be in torment due to the original condition of the pain and suffering until such time as he/she can resolve that inner conflict, and only then will he/she be able to achieve a higher conciousness of heaven/nirvana.

Depends on if they knew Jesus as their Savior. If they did then they are in Heaven, if they didn't they they are in hell. There is only one sin that will send a soul to hell and that is Blasphemy of The Holy Spirit.

The fact that God loves each person completely and individually is proven in Psalm 139:13, where it says, “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.” He knows each one of us intimately and desires that each one of us spend eternity in His presence. His heart breaks over the pain we suffer in this life, but He promises us eternal life, free from all of life’s burdens, through Jesus Christ.

Jesus said, "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life and have it to the full” (Jn. 10:10). Satan wants us to believe that we have no hope. The only way he can affect the life of a believer is to inject doubt and fear into his mind. We are warned in 1 Peter 5:8: "Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” If he can rob us of the blessed hope we have in Christ, then he is victorious in our lives.

In Matthew 11:28, Jesus says, “Come to me all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” He knows that this life is difficult, so He wants to remove the burdens we carry. We may suffer for a little while, there may be great pain at times, but Jesus will carry us through the hard times. He promises, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you" (Heb. 13:5b). Remember that, no matter how bleak a situation may appear, it is only temporary in the scope of eternity with Christ. Rest in that hope, that promise.

Please, if you are struggling with thoughts of suicide, seek the help of a pastor or Christian counselor. Do not try to carry this battle on your own. The devil is fighting hard for you; don’t give in to his lies. Find a good Christian counselor who can determine whether you may have a medical issue that is causing depression. Realize that whatever you are facing will pass. If you allow God to help you through it, you will be taking victory over Satan’s grasp on you. Don’t let him steal one more moment of the joy that God has set before you!

Yes, because no one goes to the heaven you're referring to... unless you mean eternal unconsciousness, then yes, s/he is in heaven.

If this person did not know Jesus Christ as their savior, yes.

The means of death does not cancel out the salvation of a Christian.

I believe we all go to another place..........the same one. A place where earthly troubles are not longer an issue. Simply, a better place where all are disease and dis-ease are no longer an issue.
