Numbers are infinite, why would be close minded to other things being "infinite" as well??

Space bodies are made of dirt and rock....various types of course. It implies all the heavenly bodies are of the same stuff.
One star even gives off the light signature of gold. Hard to believe.
Maybe space is a closed loop. Like a circular road around a big city. It all looks the same and if you go far enough, you come back to your starting point.
We just do not know, because it is so big.
This would fit the infinity idea.

Speculation might conclude that infinite might be a boundary or limit constantly changing thus making it impossible to reach an end. Like time for example. It must have had a beginning but apparently has not end. Times end is infinite and beyond our reach.

The Big Bang theory states that the universe has been expanding for 13.7 billion years (give or take a few hundred thousand years) So if it is expanding, there is obviously an edge.
I think the word "infinite" has been adapted to describe something that is immeasurable. However, something immeasurable to us doesn't necessarily mean that it can't be measured.

The reason we see space as infinite is because of how we view it. Take a round ball and draw a man on it. If he were alive he could only look up/down and left/right. he could walk all around that Ball and never find the edge. but we have one more dimension than him so when we look at his little universe we know that it is finite... but doesn't have an edge.
if we could some how give our selves another dimension, in addition to up/down, left/right, and forward/back, we could look at the universe and see that just because it doesn't have an edge doesn't mean its not finite.

I don't think it is generally accepted that the universe's physical space is infinite. Relativity makes that difficult to swallow.

Space is finite in that it takes certain types of matter to compose it and that matter is limited.
It is possible to mathematically predict that due to this limitaion of matter, the cosmos will one day receed, collapsing back into itself.
Why on earth would you ask a physics quesiton in Religion and Spirituality?

How could it NOT be infinite? Suppose we posit an "end" to space - doesn't there have to be something beyond that? And something beyond that? And, well, you get the idea, I hope.
Just because we are finite, that doesn't mean anything else must be.

It seems space isn't infinite. In fact, there's evidence that "infinite" is one of many paradoxical superlative concepts that describe nothing in observable reality.

Space is not infinite
It has and end its just really damn big
What is beyond space I do not know
And that is science. They knwo there is an end to the univers what ever is beyond that is not space but something else
