God is a mighty God and can do anything so why did Jesus have to die for our sins? Why couldnt life continue without him having to die?
Im religious but I dont understand that...because God can do anything. He could have put us all here and let life be if he wanted.

please explain

Jesus was a perfect human, no more, no less, the exact equal to the perfect man Adam. He was therefore able to lay down a perfect human life as the purchase price for all that Adam lost, namely, the right to perfect human life and to give life to future generations.—1 Cor. 15:21, 22. His sacrifice atoned exactly for what was forfeited by the sinner Adam, since Jesus was perfect and hence Adam’s equal prior to the first man’s sin.—1Ti 2:5, 6; Eph 1:7.

One of God's cardinal qualities is justice. So everything had to be just and fair.

God the father seemed to think one son = an infinite amount of turtle doves goats and bullocks without blemish

So the idea is we graduated from multiple animal sacrifices to a one time human/god sacrifice where we symbolically engage in cannibalism for offences committed against the almighty

So then Jesus got tacked to a tree so no more turtle doves had to be burned and to forgive your evil thoughts about that neighbours cleavage

Now stop asking questions go to church and have a symbolic nibble of the saviour

Its to make you feel guilty and do the church's bidding. Don't get me wrong, there are some good lessons about how to live you life, but there are too many problems with what religion teaches. No religion has any answers, they just act like they do, not one can prove anything they teach, just ask why? you'll see. Religions teach that they are the only correct one, how can they all be right? If just one is right, then we are all doomed to hell. The Pope is Infallible????? how the hell can a man be infallible? If he was to say its a sin to be gay, jewish, muslim, white, black, whatever, then it is the word of god and church law. That idea in itself is about the most stupid thing I've ever heard. Almost as dumb as killing people for saying the earth is not the center of the universe. People need to question their religion, think for themselves and not buy into the guilt and fear the church sells.

One could say that only God has the real answer to your question. There are many that I am aware of and if one of those can help you then so be it. Take what you can accept.
If not then keep searching. It is a logical question. Keeping it short:
My answers are these. First of all. Based on my study,
The soverign King of our Universe chose to incarnate into a human life so he would have a deeper one on one connection with his kingdom. The son of God is Spirit and the Man Jesus was the best candadate to enter.
God knows all that is before it happens. The history of man is known and there has been prophesy of this event. The life of Jesus fulfilled the prophesy. His life and death served to evolve man in his relationship with God but also his death
took on all the karmic debt of man until that point of time.
Sacrifice of animals or humans did not satisfy a law of cause and effect. There is a physical and a Spiritual level in Laws.
The war with darkness is Spiritual and requires more that sacrifice. It requires obedience and the turning over of one's personal will to that of the will of God.
As you will notice in the Bible, it says the Spirit was given up upon the death of Jesus on the cross. The man Jesus died but the Spirit lived on. We can also say that a soul is the life force and the record of a life time. Jesus according to Edgar Casey had many previous life times and one such life was Joshua who faught the battle of Jerico and was responsible for many deaths. The spiritual Law of cause and effect says that what you sew, you shall reap. An Eye for and Eye, Those who live by the sword shall die by the sword.
So On one level, Joshua did not have to come back as Jesus to pay his debt, but Chose to because he Loved Mankind so much. At the same time, Chirst came into the Life of Jesus and merged for three years walking and teaching about his Father God and that Love.
There are many reasons and Christinity conceives that his death was necessary to take on the sins of the world.
It is recorded so and all those who died before were resurected with Christ. He made it possible that we could die and enter Judgement upon death, rather than waiting in a dead zone on a place we would condider hell.
These are only my thoughts and may not be true, but for now they are for me. Jesus has given us a personal connection to our Heavenly Father we did not previously have.

Yes, God is a mighty God, however because of our own wickedness, we were and never will be up to Gods standards. We were created perfect, however it is OUR fault that we gave into temptation. Somebody had to pay the punishment for our sins. Doing something as awful as disobeying our God, and turning our backs on Him is not something that should go unpunished, yes? Therefore, an unselfish individual, a loving individual, and a kind individual paid the price for those sins, so we would no longer be cast into the lake of fire, but have everlasting life.

God did just what you had asked. Since he is a God that can do anything, this is one of the anything that he can do, by sending Jesus to die for our sins. First of all, Jesus coming to die on the cross, was to destroy the works of the devil and to redeem mankind back unto himself, since God cannot break his oath and he swear by no other than himself. His Love for us is not to die in our sins, but to come to the knowledge of the Truth, John 8:32 says- And you shall know the truth, and the Truth shall make you free.(KJV). If God were to leave things as it is, everyone that is not redeemed by the blood of Jesus, will die in their sins and the whole of mankind will be destined to go to hell, and then many will say on the irony to your question, they will be asking the same question, just the opposite, "why God did not save us knowing that mankind will go to hell, since he can do anything." God knows that there are people that will not understand what he is doing, for in Isaiah 55:8 says- For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says the Lord. (KJV). Just believe and the Spirit of the Lord will guide you to all Truth and Righteousness.

Cuz his father told him to.

God, Jesus, and the holy spirit

they're one

when Jesus died for our sins it was part of God too.

God promised that he would not defeat the world like did with the flood hence the reason why he gave his only begotten son to save our lives.

Since we're human we were born in sin.

There is only way to be saved so God gave his only son, to save is.

So in a way God gave us a chance to have a life he wanted for him.

Because Jesus is not dead.

He rose again on the seventh day

So God really did save us but it is up to if you choose to follow thru.

I completely understand where this question is coming from, as a Christian, I have often asked this myself. Why even come in the first place if you're simply going to die? I have come up with this answer.

He of course came to teach, to show that the old ways in which the world operated were outdated and unnecessary. To be a shining example of how we should lead our lives was the overall mission in my opinion. But why was he crucified?

I believe it to be an example. It's less because it was necessary and more to show that God was and is willing to give a part of himself over to immortality, to be beaten, bruised, and bloodied for the sake of showing us and proving to those who doubt him that he's willing to love us so completely, that he'd go through that pain. He died to save us from our sins? I don't even know what that means. I know what it does, but why couldn't God just snap his fingers?

Because he wanted to prove to us that He is love.

God cannot go against His character. He is first and foremost, holy. His holiness will not allow sin into His Heaven. He is also righteous. His righteousness demands payment for sin. Man is born dead in sin and trespasses. So, man, in his natural state, cannot enter Heaven, no matter how "good" he is, he still has his sin problem. Christ, who was sinless, was the only acceptable sacrifice for the sins of His people. Christ took on the punishment that His people would suffer because of their sin. Either Christ paid, or you do, for eternity. There is no other way.

Jesus, who is god, sacrificed himself to himself in a pre-ordained act in order to appease himself so that we may have everlasting life if we accept him and his measly sacrifice. We are all sinners, because god pre-ordained it, but if we accept Jesus our sins will be absolved and from then on, instead of accepting responsibiltiy for our actions, we can claim we were born that way and that the 2000yr old 'sacrifice' of an immortal diety exonerates us.

What, exactly, don't you understand about this? It makes perfect sense!
