Did Jesus die for the redemption of all the sins yet to be committed?
Yes.
Or just the ones I committed before he was put on the cross?
No, for all sins, previous, concurrent, and posterior to His death at the cross.
Did he die and give us an undated blank check?
He is not going to die again to cover for additional sins, His death was enough to pay for all sins. However, it is not meant for this, that you can continue sinning without worry because there is still funds in Jesus account to cover new sins.
How does this actually work?
1. Check Romans 6 : Grace given by Jesus is not to be taken as a "license to sin"
1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? 2 Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? 3 Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? 4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5 For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, 6 knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. 7 For he who has died has been freed from sin. 8 Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, 9 knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. 10 For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. 11 Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. 13 And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. 14 For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.
2. Check I John 1: 5-10: If we fail and sin, we have forgiveness in Jesus:
5 This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

Hope this helps. God bless you.

Pretty much like the undated blank check. He died for ALL of your sins, including the ones you haven't committed yet.

earlier Jesus were given the following interior the flesh, we are suggested that sinners who repented were kept by faith interior the alternative slayed animal sacrifices stated by God. and prefer those of at latest, they necessary to provide up sinning (it truly is what repenting attitude). the precise atonement, although, took area with wonderful timing at the same time as Jesus grew to change into the great sacrifice those animals prefigured. So formerly than Jesus were given the following, the folk recognized ahead to the flow at the same time as those after, seem lower back to the atonement on the flow. for this reason, circuitously, you're ideal: that's the equivalent for most who repent of their sins. when you do no longer, there is not any sacrifice or heaven. It truly shouldn't have mattered at the same time as God would have chosen to deliver Jesus to earth even if being gracious as he's, He gave mankind the total prophecies had to assist guy recognize the genuine Messiah and finally end up, once once extra, that God keeps His guarantees referring to to salvation and judgments. He might want to no longer have made those any clearer.

He died for all of your sins. You didn't commit any before He was put on the cross unless your like 2000 years old. He died for all the sins of all believers from then til He decides to come back.

courtesy of Cake:
Jesus wrote a blank check,
One I haven't cashed quite yet.
I hope I've got a little more time.
I hope it's not the end of the line.
Yeah, Jesus wrote a blank check.
One I haven't cashed yet, all right.
But if I had to choose a number,
I'd want it to be number one.
I don't want to be number two.
Yeah, I don't want to be number four.
But I can hear a knock on the door.
Jesus wrote a blank check, all right.
If Jesus saw me dying,
Would angels come a flying down?
I hope I've got a little more time.
I hope somebody lends me a dime.
Now, Jesus wrote a blank check.
Ah, one I haven't cashed yet.
Still I build my towers high.
I watch them pierce the blue, blue sky.
Still I wallow in the mire.
Still I burn this earthen fire.
Still I build my towers high.
I watch them pierce the blue, blue sky.
Still I wallow in the mire.

The blank check analogy is pretty accurate, but as Christians, the goal is not to try and break the bank!

How many sins did you commit before 33 AD? Christ died for all the sins of all His people, completely. Does this mean we can sin at will, follow our natural depraved inclinations? No. Paul addressed this in Romans 6:
Rom 6:1 What then shall we say? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?
Rom 6:2 Let it not be! We who died to sin, how shall we still live in it?
Rom 6:3 Or are you ignorant that all who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?
Rom 6:4 Therefore, we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, so also we should walk in newness of life.
Rom 6:5 For if we have been joined together in the likeness of His death, so also shall we be in the resurrection,
Rom 6:6 knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be nullified, so that we no longer serve sin.
Rom 6:7 For the one that died has been justified from sin.
Rom 6:8 But if we died with Christ, we believe that also we shall live with Him,
Rom 6:9 knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dies no more; death no longer lords it over Him.
Rom 6:10 For in that He died, He died to sin once for all; but in that He lives, He lives to God.
Rom 6:11 So also you count yourselves to be truly dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Rom 6:12 Then do not let sin reign in your mortal body, to obey it in its lusts.
We, as believers, will still sin, but, through the sanctification process, we desire less and less to serve sin, and more and more to serve God. We can do all things, but the sins we enjoyed before conversion, become much less attractive afterwards. We serve a new master, not our flesh, God.

he took all sin, from every person, from every age, from the beginning of time to the ending of time. you can't surprise God by sinning. you haven't thwarted His efforts.
that which was forgiven is forgiven now and forever, and it was all done by Jesus. Jesus is the center of this whirlwind of creation, He is the ONLY steady foundation.

Do you know what sin is? Do you understand why it needs to be forgiven?
If you don't believe in God, His Son Jesus, what does it matter how it works?
