My confirmation teacher was discussing last week that although the Bible calls God "He" all the time, nobody really knows what kind of being God is and what he looks like.

So the other day in chemistry, my friend Margaret and I are talking about the worksheet we were doing, and there was this question on there that was something like, "Why does (some element) bond with (another element) in the way it does?" Margaret and I thought that it was just "because God said so," and we asked our teacher if that was an acceptable answer, she said no. So then we got talking about the movie "Bruse Almighty" somehow and how Morgan Freeman plays God, and then I told her about what my confirmation teacher had said, so she says, "Yeah, God could be a pink fluffy unicorn." So now we are telling everyone that God is a pink fluffy unicorn.

Use your imagination: What do you think God looks like?

Please no answers like "He doesn't exist" or "I don't know, no one does." This just for fun!

8 But of the Son he says,

"Your throne, O God, is forever and ever,
the scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom.
9 You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness;therefore God, your God, has anointed you
with the oil of gladness beyond your companions."

Pagans, Atheists, Agnostics, Theists, Polytheists, etc.,

What is something you like AND something you dislike about the above?

Talk about one or more or all or more than I have mentioned as you see fit; but please name both a like and a dislike.

As I'm reading more about Asatru my husband is having more questions, centering around the dreaded race issue.

Were Vikings truly racist?
Do you believe only those of Germanic heritage should be allowed to practice Asatru?
Do racist groups associate more often with Asatru than say, Christianity?

Any thoughts and opinions would be greatly appreciated. :)

God says in Ezekiel 36:25-27 "I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws."

Compare this to Act 2:38 "38Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."

Ezekiel is a prophecy and a foreshadowing of baptism and it obviously said to sprinkle water.

Both passeges say that sins will be forgiven (impurities = sin)

Both passages were void of symbolic language (that is if you believe that the spirit is symbolic and not a reality).

So again, where in the Holy Word of God does it say people being baptized must be submerged and that its only a symbol?

Does God already have a plan for all humans? If he does, did he really plan for people to become terrorists or murderers and to go to hell? If he doesn't does that mean that he DOES NOT know everything? People and the Bible have told me that he knows all...

My friend and I hung out 3 days ago. He told me how he worships the devil, and says a prayer that supposidly makes him get in touch with him. I found it kind of interesting, but was having second thoughts about doing it myself. I am a christan, but not a freak about it. I don't brag about the whole life story about god and such, but i do believe in god, and dont feel comfortable doing the whole mythical prayer and stuff. What are your thoughts and be serious.

i have not been a great example for Jesus and know that i have turned people away from a great GOD! now that i'm older in Christ, i have a better perspective on how to live accordingly, do you hate Christ because of the way us 'christians' have behaved towards you and would you forgive me and give Jesus a try? God bless you and your answers, even if they're hateful, i'll understand.
