If you are interested in joining or just learning more about the Catholic Church, contact your local parish and ask about information about their RCIA Inquiry group.

You can go and ask any questions you want.

This is the first step in RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) but you can stop at any time.

There is no obligation to become a Catholic.

With love and prayers in Christ.

You don't really tell us where you are coming from in your spiritual journey.

Are you currently Catholic? If so you need to find out what the Catholic Church really teaches. Even if you are Catholic the RCIA is a great place to begin. Some parishes have Catholicism 101 classes for Catholics.

The reality is that you cannot know where you are going if you don't know where you're coming from. By actually learning about the Catholic faith you will be able to make a fully formed decision about your spiritual home.

A great online resource is the Catholic Update site. There are brief articles that are great introductions to a wide variety of topics, everything from the Catholic view of the Bible to stem cell research. http://www.americancatholic.org/Newsletters/CU/Archive.asp

You will be in my prayers.

Well for me I've been everywhere. I was a Jew, an Agnostic, and even an Atheist. That all changed about two years ago when God the Father spoke to me. I started my path to becoming religious, a path you appear to want to embark on. For about a year I was just focused on becoming Christian, while attending a Catholic Church, but not caring about denominations really. I went through a phase then when I was persuaded due to a lack of information on my end that protestantism was the right choice. However I then consulted the Bible, my youth counselor, and some internet sources and found that truly everything taught by the Catholic Church in terms of practice and beliefs are in the Bible! Of course there are some things that arguably aren't directly spoken to in the Bible like contraception and such sins, but in terms of practice, faithfulness, the Church, and its beliefs: its all in the Bible! Even the command by Jesus to Peter to start the Catholic Church is in the Bible! If your somewhat new to the Bible let me recommend this website: http://www.truecatholic.org/protbibletexts.htm ...It shows some things in the protestant KJV Bible that proves Catholicism and its beliefs.

Go to a Catholic Church. Catholics are Christians. The Catholic Church is the original church founded by Jesus Christ. Go to church and ask someone about adult catechism classes or RCIA. Then ask about how to get baptized into the Catholic Church. Then maybe you will get baptized. Then maybe you can work on getting confirmed and then receiving holy communion and going to confession. God bless you one your journey. Ask God to help you and to help lead you to the true church. He will assist you in every step of the way. Be strong and try to keep God's commandments if and when you already become a Catholic. Welcome home.

Sorry to break this to you but Catholics are Christians. First visit the library, read about each churches doctrine then visit a few services. It's more important to feel included than the specific doctrine. Your interested in a relationship with God, not just the church. Start by being a good person and explore. Just don;t lose yourself, giving all your control to an organization.

Religion saves no one. If you want religion, just become a catholic. I know, I use to be one.

If you want what God Himself offers, consider getting yourself a King James Bible and attend a Independent Fundamental Baptist church. You will never regret it.

Base on the Word of God alone, this is what we believe:

Why do you say, "Christian vs. catholic"? Catholics are the original Christians....Maybe that is where you should start.
