Faith. The substance of all things hoped for. So where
is your faith. Do you have any, and do you use it ?
How do you go on with your daily lives, that is what I
wanna know. Example. If you play sports, and is an
Atheist. You go on a feeling of knowing, that you will
make it through. And that you just may, be able to
be productive in playing a game, and actually winning.
Or maybe you go through tribulation, and is hopeful
about overcoming the odds of life, against you. Like the
loss of a loved one, or perhaps you have been ill.
Or got into a financial crisis, and was on the verge of
losing it all. Whatever the case is. Have you ever exercised
faith ? And is it possible, to have faith. And not
believe in The Alimighty, or religion itself ? Best answer
wins. ~~~

My confession: I have called the Police about 100 times complaining about the road noise 300 feet from my house. (Boom boxes that shake my windows at night and wake me.) I have dealt with about 10 different policemen. And, almost all of them were "ignorant" of road noise and ignorant of most other subjects that entered our conversations. -- If you know me, you know that "discrimination" against people is not in my personality.

The question is: What occupation have you noticed is filled with a preponderance of "ignorant" people?

(I apologize for this not being a harmony inducing question, but I am curious about your experience on the subject, okay?)

I really think as a society, the US is moving further away from religion and belief in god to encompass more free thinkers, or at least more people who just dont care about having religion in their every day lives. I think especially in the younger generations we are seeing more people reject religion. This was the trend in Europe and the UK and I think we will slowly adopt to this too. What do you think?

I feel like being a devils advocate today, so here it goes.

If homosexuality is not a choice, which I do not believe it is, and this is proved by "who would choose to be ostracized," what do you think about Child Molesters and their natural (yet perverted) sexual inclinations?

Again, this is just a question for questions purposes.

In American homes the Bible has taken on the status of an icon with little practical value. When asked, “What book has most influenced your life?” in a recent Library of Congress survey, respondents awarded the Bible the top position. But only 34 percent of American Christians read God’s Word on their own during the week, and of that group, only 13 percent claim to read it daily. “Americans revere the Bible,” says pollster George Gallup, Jr., “but, by and large, they don’t read it.”
Does that sound like you? Reading the Bible less often than you’d like?

How do you feel about being off of work during the "religious" holidays? Because in a way, by having the day off work you are indirectly participating in said "religious" holidays ritual of not going to work. So should it be a point for Athiests to show up at there place of employment, even if you are not getting paid. Maybe you need to tidy up your office? :) Your thoughts?

"Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection." (Heb 6:1.)

If a man leaves the principles of the doctrine of Christ, how can he be saved in the principles? Isn't this a contradiction? I can't believe that by leaving the doctrine of Christ we can move on to perfection.

Shouldn't it be rendered: "Therefore NOT leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection"?

My time here has been short lived and fruitful, but the time for me to move on has come. I can no longer stomach the hate I see too often and realistically, I must re-focus my energy on more positive applications.

Those of you I've met and grown to know, and you know who you are, will forever hold a special place in my heart, so spiritually speaking, what is the best way to say goodbye?

Hey I heard that this was a book and the book was written for Atheist children as a bedtime story and that it's about killing God. Is this true? I haven't read the book and thought it looked like a cool move.

I am aware of biblical verses that support a view that an ensouled human being exists before birth, but not of anything that logically requires that to apply at conception -- a traditional interpretation, that these refer to the fetus after the quickening, seems to be a natural reading of these verses.

But current Christian thinking -- at least for Catholicism and many U.S. Christian churches -- has moved away from that view, and now teaches that human life, with soul, begins at conception.

Is there unambiguous textual support in the Christian bible for this view? NOTE: verses referring to the physical assembly of the body do not count, as the distinction I am interested in is precisely between the doctrines (1) that God created the body from conception, and ensouled it at some later point, and (2) that God created a fully ensouled body at conception.

Again, I am specifically asking about the *soul at conception* part of the doctrine, not the *during pregnancy* part.

I am spiritual and not Religious.
My Mother is Muslim
My Father is Christian

The other day I attended a mosque for first time, out of curiosity.
And I struck up a conversation with a nice lady and thought I will sit with her.
I ask when does prayer start and she Replied that it already had.
I was like I can not hear any thing So i left the tiny room with a rickety door and walked past all males and Quietly sat in the front row.(it had the most available space)
And after 1min all was silent and a weirdo looking male spoke to me in I think was Arabic. He wouldn't shut up and stop his chanting at me.and I just smiled and hoped that the creepy man would just shut up and resume praying. They(the males) seemed easily distressed by my presence.(Weak)

Has this ever happened to you or seen this happen to someone?WHAT GIVES
