If you choose not to, then you are being secretive.

Gumby: So you were saying the church is not secretive?

Just Some Chick: Yeah, but they are telling me that the Mormon church is not secretive. It's just false. I don't personally care if they are or aren't. I care about people misleading others as to the nature of their relgion.

Beta: If you don't then you are secretive, not that I really care. Plus, your temple name wouldn't identify you as a person so why not tell me? They are recycled anyway so you aren't the only one with that name.

FYI Meat. Temple goers are allowed to tell anything they wish. Most choose not to talk about it - not out of secrecy, but out of the fact that people like you bash about information and twist it to represent things it was not intended to represent. You call it secretive. I call it protective of sacred things. The bible talks about it under that whole 'pearls before swine' concept.
As for being secretive - it's just tomatoes - tomautoes you know. Call it anything you want.

We follow the Bible and do not cast pearls before swine.
Revelation 2:17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.

You seemingly misunderstand the difference between that which is sacred versus that which is secret.
Here is my definition:
My definition for the distinction of sacred and secret. I hold the name of Jesus Christ as sacred. That is, I view his name as worthy of respect or dedication; I declare it to be holy; devoted to a deity and hallowed and worthy of religious veneration.
Secret on the other hand simply means to be not open to the public, or hidden and a mystery.
I choose not be trivialize that which I hold sacred. Therefore, I will keep it sacred.

Active mormons promise to keep these covenants sacred and to "trifle not with sacred things" (D&C 6:12). How many times do you have to be told...

They are all different. I am an ex-mormon. If you wish to know go to exmormon.org and ask on their main board. They'll all be happy to tell you their names. I never stayed long enough to go to the temple (thank goodness!)
And any active mormon's will tell you it's "sacred" not secret. Just a heads up, arguing with believing mormon's is like trying to hold on to sand tighter and tighter.

I'll tell you the confirmation names I chose for myself - when I was confirmed in the Episcopal church I chose Matthew, and when I was confirmed in the Roman Catholic church I chose Peter.

Why would I want to give you any personal information? Are you delusional?
EDIT: Dude, you spend so much time bashing my church and calling me a "cultist". Do you really think I care whether or not you think my church is secretive? lol

" [Matt 15:26] Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearls before swine, or they will trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces. "
Seems to me you qualify as both, as well as a few other barn animals I can think of.

I could if I wanted to but if I were going to choose to share that with someone, why on earth would I choose you? You have given me no reason.
I wouldn't even tell you my real name.
