I just read an essay in which the author claims that scientists invented the idea of many universes when they discovered that ours was "fine-tuned" for life.

Is there any evidence that this theory is a reaction rather than a conclusion?

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 3:17
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

John 3:18
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

God didn't send his Son to condemn, but you're condemned?

What if John 3:16 is God & Son Limited: Law (on high)?
What if John 3:17 is God & Son Unlimited: Grace (higher)?
Remembering John is the only "verily verily" gospel account.

What if John 3:17 is allegorized...which things are allegory:
God did not send his Son to condemn(law) the world,
but that the world through him might be saved(graced)?

Hebrews 11:7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

A little joke earlier got some really miffed reactions because the subject is God. Can't God take a joke?

If truly man was made in God's image, than I must assume God has a sense of humor.

For centuries, scientists want to know why we stay on earth and they attribute it to some kinda spooky invisible force caled 'gravity'. lol lol lol, scientists fail as always.

Traditional scientists admit that they cannot explain how gravitation is supposed to work. They cant see it or prove it but scientists are good liars as we all know.

But according to our great Creation Scientist Rev. Gabriel Burdett.. We don't stay on earth because of gravity but because of our sins.

Its God's power that keeps us down and not some invisible fabric, which makes no sense at all.

And scientists will never be able to find unified theory of all forces because that unified force is not gravity or electromagnatism..... the unified force is Jesus!

I don't believe in God, nor do I believe in heaven. What should I tell my children when they ask about death?

Fellow non-believers, what did you (or, what are you going to) tell your children about dying?

God is tired, worn out. So he speaks to St. Peter, "You know, I need a vacation. Got any suggestions where I should go?"

St. Peter, thinking, nods his head, then says, "How about Jupiter? It's nice and warm there this time of the year."

God shakes His head before saying, "No. Too much gravity. You know how that hurts my back."

"Hmmm," St. Peter reflects. "Well, how about Mercury?"

"No way!" God mutters, "It's way too hot for me there!"

"I've got it," St. Peter says, his face lighting up. "How about going Down to Earth for your vacation?"

Chuckling, God remarks, "Are you kidding? Two thousand years ago I went there, had an affair with some nice Jewish girl, and they're STILL talking about it!"

OK. So I respect the fact, that you do not believe in
religion, or Christ. But do you put more trust in just
things that are illogical, or without reason ? Or do you
believe in some form of intelligent design, or universal
force, in any way possible. Does science get your
neo cortex juices flowing ? What do you believe in ?

do yo think that science will one day prove your believe to be true....

yo may not care, and it may not make any difference one way or another. but do you have some sort of belief that science will catch-up with your ideology so that it becomes fact and not just faith?

If you are familiar with this older-children's book, you know that is about a "utopia" where people are de-sexed and are arranged into families--only one person in a community is chosen as the reciptical of "bad memories" or negative thoughts. A newborn baby is euthanized beacause he is a twin, and twins throw off the whole balance of the community. The whole summation of the book is that it is a tragedy that people have their free will taken from them in the name of "peace."

I think that it is a good, thought-provoking book and my son enjoyed reading it several times. (Mind you, it is for teens and older kids) So why is it banned?

I'm a Christian, but I am certainly not an advocate in censoring rational thought because it may be disturbing.

Do you think that saying "I say these words in the name of Jesus" in the end of prayer and not praying to Him directly is good enough? In the Bible Jesus is called a mediator between God and men, and also He once said that no one will come to the Father except through Him (even not "with His help", but "THROUGH Him"). How is it possible to resort to a help of a mediator and never communicate with him at that?

Matthew 24:4 Jesus said " Watch out that no one decieves you. For many will come in my name saying 'I am the Christ' and will decieve many.

Do you think he meant:
1 - In the last days people would show up proclaiming to be the Christ?
2- False Christians who say "Jesus is the Christ" would deceive people by living and teaching contrary to the word of God?

I welcome any additional insight you wish to offer.
