Can you give me any information on how many deaths occurred as a result of the Witch Hunts in Europe during the Middle Ages? List sources if you can.

Thanks.

There really isn't an accurate number, because none was recorded, and it is hard to estimate exactly how many. Don't listen to the fluffy bunnies that will tell you "millions and millions."

The number has been greatly exaggerated over the years, some sayng 3 million or more but it is unlikely that the number was that high. There were no records kept so it is impossible to even give you a close guess. It is my guess that it may have been a couple hundred thousand, but not millions.
As for sources, if I were to google it I would look for "burning times" or "witch hunts".
