Don't worry Miche, god won't be calling. He's actually a deaf mute entity who hears not and sees not. So is Satan for that matter (a deaf mute, that is). Maybe you can find a supernatural telephone operator to patch you directly. You can talk to god with the latest technology in deaf mute telephone communication.

In case some of you are offended, just want you to know that my nephew is deaf and mute, and totally resents anyone calling him "hearing challenged" or some such politically correct stupid word or phrase. Call him deaf because he knows that's what he is.

Nice hypothetical.......but get serious.

How could God tell you to not believe in God? Imagine:

God: Son, I don't exist.
You: Then who's talking?
God: That doesn't matter right now. There is no God.
You: Really? Am I dreaming?
God: NO dammit, this is God speaking. There is no God.
You: Then who's talking right now?
God: I AM. Now shut up and listen. I don't exist.
You: Dude, you have some serious issues.
God: Let's agree to disagree. Just remember, I don't exist.
You: Okay, whatever.

It's possible. In areas of the bible it states if you don't listen long enough to him, he will put his face against yours and turn you out and will not listen to you anymore.

If I was in this position... I'd be doing every commandment and praise I could do to Him non stop while fasting for days.

Worse thing in the world is not Satan... but to have G_D put His face against yours. His wrath is by far stronger than anything Satan can whimper together.

That question makes no sense. If you were an atheist, you wouldn't believe in God and therefore wouldn't be called by God. Plus, God would not call anyone to be outside of a relationship w/Him since He wants to fellowship w/all of us.

Why would God call me to be an atheist?

God wants people to believe in him why would he ask someone to become an atheist.

If god called me to be anything, it would be impossible to be an atheist, as I couldn't pretend to not know god existed, after I had talked to him.

But way of comparison, I can't pretend to not know god doesn't exist, seeing as how he's never talked to me, and the books describing him have been proven to be false.

Therefore, it is impossible for me to NOT be an atheist.

I don't really exist either- really. My computer is just sitting here in Fond du Lac typing smart@$$ answers to stupid questions all by itself.

What would that make you a amactheist?

That would put you in Judas Iscariot's position of having to betray his savior.

Just like Judas, if that actually happened, then I'd have to do what God commanded.

[edit]
I find it interesting that me, an Agnostic, would unquestioningly do what God commands while the Christians have all said "That makes no sense".

[edit2]
Doesn't it say somewhere that God will not ask us of anything unless he prepares us a way to do it?

Heb 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
