She asked a question stating that she was having a hard time in her "walk with god." I posted a response telling her that I've been through the same thing and that I came to my senses, and wished the same for her.

Do you think that she felt her faith was threatened by my extremely reasonable, freeing, atheist logic? Is that why she blocked me?

"You are my battle-ax and sword," says the LORD. "With you I will shatter nations and destroy many kingdoms. With you I will shatter armies, destroying the horse and rider, the chariot and charioteer. With you I will shatter men and women, old people and children, young men and maidens. With you I will shatter shepherds and flocks, farmers and oxen, captains and rulers. "As you watch, I will repay Babylon and the people of Babylonia for all the wrong they have done to my people in Jerusalem," says the LORD. "Look, O mighty mountain, destroyer of the earth! I am your enemy," says the LORD. "I will raise my fist against you, to roll you down from the heights. When I am finished, you will be nothing but a heap of rubble. You will be desolate forever. Even your stones will never again be used for building. You will be completely wiped out," says the LORD. (Jeremiah 51:20-26)

With all these rules about Muhammad and how upset the muslims get when people do things related to him even innocently doesn't this seem like worship? Doesn't it seem like muslims elevate Muhammad to godhood? Or that they at least worship him?

Our preacher talks about how God has literally spoken to him. I've heard many other religious speakers talk about hearing God's voice when they confessed their faith and became a Christian. Has anyone really heard God's voice, and why can I never seem to hear God's voice? Does this mean I haven't truly become a Christian? Have you heard God's voice, and, if so, what did He sound like and what He say? No jokes, please. This is an honest question. No sarcasm in the answers.

Why do some people hate members of the LDS church? What's so different between us and everyone else? Why do some call us "devilworshipers"?! We're not!

For all u, i'm a muslim, and i have a cartoon project to do for hsitory and i did it on the beginings of the spreading of islam. In it, muhammad (PBUH) is the dominant charecter, so i don't know what the ruling on drawing muhammad is, because i've heard u can draw the body, but illuminate his face/head like a light, and others said i can't even add him in the picture, and i should jsut do a perpective view of the prohet muhammad. so please, clerify me, and i don't want any answers that are not very supported by shyookhs, i would like the majority ruling.

Only reply if u truly know, because if i act on what u said and i'm wrong, well , that's very bad.

Do you think it would help our economic situation if more people in the U.S. did this, and/or do you feel this scripture has deeper meaning?

I periodically like to read books that are from Christian authors, even though I consider myself an agnostic. I enjoy being challenged, and at least seeing an alternative perspective. There are even those rare occasions where I find I'm not as smart as I think I am ;).

What is your view on "challenging" your views? Interesting? A waste of time? A tool of Satan?

I'm writing a paper for catholic theology class and the prof. taught us that the Adam and Eve story was meant as a metaphor, but if that is true than where did humans' original sin and sinful nature come from. It doesn't make sense if god was supposed to have made everything good. help please???

my faith has wavered so many times and i feel like i'm a hopeless case with him. every time i want to be more like him, a stronger, more tempting urge pulls me away and i always regret following it. i try so hard to follow his lead and always end up ruining it. there are religious clubs at my school and every time i go to a meeting i feel angry and jealous because they have such a close relationship with him. i want that with him but i dont want to be forced to accept it. i want to get to know him and love him out of my own free will so that i can truelly appreciate him. Can someone help me?
