My Goodness of course it is alright to date. You wait to have sex until the marriage bed, that has nothing to do with dating.

Most Christians want to get married, and therefore date to look for a potential mate. Some, however, do not have this intention and date for other reasons. It is the other reasons that is the problem. Dating can then be misleading to the other person. Dating is not wrong, it is the intentions and the actions occurring that can be wrong.

My goodness, you are joking. God gave Adam to Eve, or vice versa, for pleasure. Why would he not want us today to refrain from dating? Only a sick God would take relationships away from us. And I serve a very healthy God! Jesus chose disciples (relationships) to walk the earth with Him. He gave us marriage, if you read the Bible, for man to leave his family and cleave to his wife. How do you cleave, if you haven't dated?
Dating is to get to know someone, then courting, then marriage if it works out OK. Sadly, today generation starts with the family (babies) and then dating and then sometimes marriage. But this is not God's plan. Engagement periods were for the couples who were dating to get to know each other on even a more intimate level, again to see if they matched before marrying.
Dating is necessary to understand each other and learn to be compatible. Sadly, as I said, it is all rush, rush, rush now, and so we have more divorce. But this has nothing to do with Christianity or God. It is just man/woman wanting immediate gratification. This is not in the Bible, other than a warning not to do anything in excess, which would include marriage, divorce, then remarriage, then divorce. The way out of this is dating, and a longer courtship. Or at least get to know their middle name.

I believe that God created love too, so why would there be a problem with dating? The most important thing is to put God and his rules first. My boyfriend and I pray together, go to church together, and talk about our beliefs to eachother all the time. It's a huge foundation in our relationship. I think that having a christian dating relationship is super improtant, because it is what helps you see if you've found a compatible life partner.

as a christian i dont think dating is wrong unless you know the person is bad or a non-christian. Like, for example, a christian shouldnt be dating a person that has been in jail, a non-christian or someone that drinks a lot. But if you know he or she is a good christian and likes you for who you are then i dont see a problem at all.

It is a part of life and it can go both ways. I think it should be led by God because God does put people in our life and sometimes we miss the one true love we are supposed to be with because we are so judgmental. I am one that has grown cold-hearted because of the relationships I've been in. I say don't go looking for love. Let love find you because God will definitely put it there. Don't be judgmental and deny it. Give that person a chance. You never know what happens when you're dating.

Group dating is the best thing for younger people (high school) after at least the age of 16 one on one dating is OK but one has to be honest to God and to themselves. Never date someone you wouldn't consider to be marriage material. God bless.

Of course Christians date. The boy picks the girl up at her house they go to dinner & or a movie or bowling then he takes her home and then he go's home to his houae. When they become engaged it remans the same. When they get married they move into a house together.

You should only date people that you think you might ACTUALLY be interested in marrying. Also, a Christian should never even DATE, much less marry, a non-Christian.
