For all u, i'm a muslim, and i have a cartoon project to do for hsitory and i did it on the beginings of the spreading of islam. In it, muhammad (PBUH) is the dominant charecter, so i don't know what the ruling on drawing muhammad is, because i've heard u can draw the body, but illuminate his face/head like a light, and others said i can't even add him in the picture, and i should jsut do a perpective view of the prohet muhammad. so please, clerify me, and i don't want any answers that are not very supported by shyookhs, i would like the majority ruling.

Only reply if u truly know, because if i act on what u said and i'm wrong, well , that's very bad.

I don't think anyone realizes, but i'm a devout muslim, and i'm not aksing his out of fear of being killed, but out of fear from offending allah. I kn ow the face is compeltley haram, i'm wondering if i could illumniate the head, and draw the body, as a figure, but no intriqicey in the drawing. and i don't have to draw muahhamd.

If I were you I wouldn't ask this on YA. I would find a more authoritative source.
I certainly don't know more than you do. Some say it is alright to show the figure of Mohammed but not the face: others say not even that. A smaller number of Muslims do portray Mohammed in pictures.
If you were a Christian like me, I'd say to read the sources and decide for yourself. Or else ask a religious person that you trust.
Anyway, here's a website showing images of Mohammed throughout the history of Islam, made by Muslims; so you can see the variety.

Alright, here goes. I dont have any written proof or website that can help you, but using common sense really tells me that you shouldnt draw prophet Mohamed (PBUH). The reason being: no one knows how prophet Mohamed (PBUH) looked like, so you cant just go ahead and draw what you think he looked like. Im sorry that I couldnt find any website for you to use. But, if you dont get an answer with proof and all that, then I suggest that you DONT risk drawing a picture of prophet Mohamed (PBUH)

Mohammed's declare to be a prophet is contestable -- eg it is not likely a prophet of God might have sexual kin with a 9-year-previous as God is holy and detests unholy behaviour. As regards cartoons and books, all way of issues have rejoiced poked at them, notably while in some human beings's minds they have been linked with oppression and a great type of hassle for common human beings. some human beings don't experience to happy at strategies the followers of Mohammed have behaved recently, working example there have probable many hundreds of hundreds of persons (alleged "shahids") who've blown themselves up, killing civilians and common human beings, alongside with infants and small young ones, thinking they are attractive "Allah and his prophet", and could to that end win themselves a place in heaven. with connection with 911 however, this is objectively for sure wicked, in that folk have been murdered. no person ought to have fun that, and in the event that they do, that's a sin they are going to at some point ought to account to God for (in the event that they don't repent)

Uh, (I'm not a muslim but everyone knows the answer to this one)...you're NOT supposed to draw muhammed. Or name anything after him except for certain things...like your kid.

It's not a "majority ruling"...it's the mindset of islam.

Good luck on the project.

How about you cowboy up and draw the dude however you want to? If someone thinks they should kill you for drawing a picture, that person needs to go down and fast. Smoke em out and shut em down.

i went to islamic school for 7 years straight and as far as i have been taught, you can draw any prophet except for Muhammad (pbuh). i think you should try to avoid drawing him as much as possible. hope this helps...
good luck! =)
