my faith has wavered so many times and i feel like i'm a hopeless case with him. every time i want to be more like him, a stronger, more tempting urge pulls me away and i always regret following it. i try so hard to follow his lead and always end up ruining it. there are religious clubs at my school and every time i go to a meeting i feel angry and jealous because they have such a close relationship with him. i want that with him but i dont want to be forced to accept it. i want to get to know him and love him out of my own free will so that i can truelly appreciate him. Can someone help me?

The only danger is that you might give up on Him.
Your greatest need is to read the Scriptures, especially the New Testament. As for His part He has said this:
"All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I (Jesus) will certainly not cast out. " John 6:37
"Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, "I WILL NEVER DESERT YOU, NOR WILL I EVER FORSAKE YOU,"
so that we confidently say,
"THE LORD IS MY HELPER, I WILL NOT BE AFRAID.
WHAT WILL MAN DO TO ME?" "
Hebrews 13:5-6
I think the last part of this verse is significant - it is what we say that shows the real level of our faith. Begin to confess (say) what God says - tell someone: "The Lord will never leave me or forsake me" - then tell another, and another, and stand your ground in faith, until it becomes strong, and you will become strong with it, and you will see God is true to His Word.

God will never give up on you but on the other hand you can give up on God. In order to have a close relationship with God you need to spend time with Him. Start by praying 15 minutes a day and reading the Holy Bible. The more time you spend with Him the more you will desire to live like He wants you to.

You don't need to be jealous of other people's relationship with God because each person has an individual relationship.
You love God you're own way and as long as that love is true no one can tell you that they love more or better than you.
God loves us all the same... whether one goes to church everyday or once a week we are all loved the same and have the same opportunity to be with him in the next life.

God will never give up on you.
The stronger, more tempting urge is satan pulling at you. Then satan decieves you into thinking God will give up on you. Keep going to those religious clubs at your school. Ask some questions there also.
Do not be ashamed. If they do not know the answer, I am sure they can find out.
Read the bible. That will give you alot of questions too.
No one can force you to accept anything.
But it does sound like you are on the correct path.

The Lord is a gentleman and will wait for you, but I can tell you without knowing these other things that are pulling you away. They are empty and do not give you life or a purpose. They are short-termed fulfillment. If you seek Him he will show you who He is. Get in a church with like minded peers who are going through the same things you are going with....live life together, love one another, pray for one another, help one another, seek God together, and you will have a life full of purpose. However, its not easy is it? I would assume you are a new Christian and the enemy is trying to pull back into his ways. But his ways lead to destruction, Gods way will lead you to life.

No GOD WILL NEVER GIVE UP ON YOU!! REMEMBER THAT OK.. GOD WILL N-E-V-E-R GIVE UP ON YOU.. only you will give up on GOD...
i get this question alot from friends..
know that when you find God the Devil will do anything to make you not believe.. The Devil doesnt like it when you belive im him.. again the Devil will do anything..
Those people in the club have fought those demons to get to where they are.. you'll grow stronger in him.. have patience have faith.. God will be with you no matter what the devil does... so remember
God will NEVER let go of you.. only you will let go of him.

Ask yourself will you give up on you? God gave you his breath, his Essence. you know right from wrong. you were given common sense and logic. Get a telescope and look at the sky at night. When you do this ask did he build all this for me or for this tiny planet. Then don't just believe but KNOW that you are but a tiny speck in it all. You have to know that you are special. You have a job to do. Find your place in the world and don't give up on yourself. your are alive and GOD LOVES YOU! He already has you while you search for him.

Only you can give up on you. God (both father and mother) have endless love for you because you are part of them. Your time here on Earth is short and then you go home. You will "judge" yourself without condemnation from others and decide what you could have done better. Then, when you are ready, you will chart another life for the further development of your soul through learning and experiencing.

I can relate to you and i know of others in the same situation.
But first of all, know that God loves you and will never give up on you, and that is why he spared not his son Jesus to die for my sins and yours.
God will welcome us into his fellowship just as Jesus taught in the example of the father welcoming back his prodigal son.
When you go to a meeting of fellow christians, be happy for them and praise God for these people.
Remember also that Satan is always on the lookout for those who want to be closer to God, as his intension is to separate God from God's people.
When Jesus was tempted in the desert, he overcame Satan's temptations with the words "Get thee behind me" meaning, "Get lost".
Perhaps when you are tempted the next time, focus your thoughts and in the name of Jesus tell temptation (the devil) to get lost.

no way will god ever give up on you. no matter how many times you fail, god is useing every one of those to refine you into more of an image of him. i was a drug addict and a lot of things, god used every one of those to help me be who i am. god will never give up on you. just never give up on yourself. god bless you
