It is not a demand, it is a choice, your choice. Jesus doesn't want you to burn in hell, He wants you to have everlasting life, either way you will have everlasting life. The question is will you spend it in Heaven with Jesus or will you spend it in the lake of fire with Satan. This is about Him, He's already paid the ultimate price for you and id seating at the right hand of God. This is about you, His love for you and your choice as to whether you accept His love or reject it. If you reject Him you are giving your life over to Satan and that is your doing, not God's.
